Dean Club!!!

Looks to be in great shape! Played at all? NOS?
It was packed as a brand new instrument, still had the paper around the strings......I cant find a mark on it.
What a shaging bass!!
Comparable to any $1000 -$1500 bass, it punches way above its weight class (and I got it at nearly half of what they are still being priced at)
I must say that I'm surprised at how fat the Edge Pro necks are compared to the Q4 Edge bass I have. The Q4 is more in line with all of my other Deans (except the John Lawhon Hilly) nice and thin and narrow.
The Edge Pro and Edge John Campbell sig both have a significantly fatter neck, still pretty narrow, that I love.

Dean Aficionado's, notice anything 'wrong' with this 'special' bass?

Edge Hammer 4.jpg

This little 'item' is providing me a huge savings. Can you identify the little item that is saving me money?

Here's a hint

You got a great deal!!!!:woot::thumbsup:

So is the Hammer basically an Edge with those open pole humbucker pickups?
The Edge Hammer is special in that it has the open pole pups, brass nut and oiled mahogany body and active.

It also came in 5 string and 10 string dual course (which I have).

They have the same fretboard as the Edge pro with the script ‘D’ at the 12th fret.

Don’t need one, but the price is just so low that I can’t not snatch it up.

I must have one! Lol
I'm obsessed with the Edge and its many variants since I first got one.
A lot of them seem to have flown under the radar and not been valued as high as they should for the specs that they offer, good for me I suppose!

I've been rocking the Fender flats on my Paramount for several years and I think they sound and feel fantastic. That combo is still my favorite, although I usually play another Paramount with rounds with the rock band I'm currently in.

Also, I finally installed the bridge cover on my Juggernaut. Love the way it looks but it does get in the way of actually playing the instrument. I've never bonded with Jazz basses, though, so I keep this one around mostly because it makes a nice companion to my Paramounts.

It would be so cool to get a machined script 'D' on that bridge cover!

Like this style!

Greetings! I humbly request your consideration of my application for membership. Never knew much about Dean, but I found myself last November checking out a local listing in my quest for a sleek, modern unlined fretless. The Fender and Ibanez options weren't grabbing me, so I figured I'd take a look. And that's how I found myself the proud owner of a 2006 MIK Dean Edge, as pictured below. This is a beautiful machine, and I strive to become worthy.

And now I'm unduly obsessed with finding a fretted twin for it.

@Ben138 has one and is having trouble with his electronics.
