I think that's probably more an indicator that they've misplaced the whole issue :(...but I doubt that there were that many orders for these. It's surprising how few units of stuff actually move, even when they are sale items at MF. I've talked to people at MF on the numbers and sometimes it's just ten or twenty, and that's for high-profile stuff like the SDOTD.

Like that insane deal on those Warwick RockBasses for $199 that AMS had. Didn't move all that fast. BTW, that's an even more impressive deal than this, an astonishing price on a very nice bass.

A few months ago. Yeah I got one. Incredible deal, excellent bass, if you like Warwicks...I don't particularly, but it's a nice catch all the same.

Basically a Corvette, with an older-style Warwick bridge and a two-piece alder body. All the hardware and electronics are otherwise the same -- Schaller machines, MEC Gold active set, Warwick straplocks, the whole German kit...but the bass is built (well) in Warwick's own Asian factory.

Looks like just their typical automated note informing you that they will cancel the order at the 60-day/2 months (since order placed and not shipped) mark unless you take action. To be honest, I wouldn't put any more importance on it than that.

Hope it all works out - for all of us!!

I agree. I'm just hoping the same luck might happen this time as the last.

Ok,

new to the forum, don't know how to play bass (or any other intrument...) but just ordered this one! lol, would be cool if it actually comes thru.....(got the free shipping too...) thanks for the info on the deal.

Suggest you go the used route. Much, much more for your money!! There is a used forum here as well as eBay or your local music store(s).

Hey Guys,

I've been lurking about your forum the past several weeks since deciding I want to learn to play bass. A coworker loaned me his gear so I could tinker around and I've decided to invest in my own.

After finding this thread several weeks ago I promptly placed an order with Amazon. Thanks for the heads up! Of course I too am skeptical that a bass will show up on my door step.

But... did anybody else notice the deal is gone? Have a look, the price is back to $519.99 from Amazon. Still out of stock with no expected ship date.

Is this a good sign? Who knows.

Yep the above is true. The deal is gone!

Also, when I access my order it now says:

" Shipment 1 of 1: The following item will arrive after December 25, 2010."

I see this as mostly good news. First, I imagine that means no XMAS presents - could care less myself. But, given the combination of this acknowledgment of order status and the above (no more deal) gives me a bit more hope we will actually see these things. Seems they would have canceled our orders at this time if need be. But, who knows?
