Dean Q4 w/Bartolinis, $132.99 84% Off

That one is actually an Edge 1 quilt top not an Edge Q4. The edge 1 has Dean soapbar pick ups. The Q4 has EMGhz pick ups.
How do the EMG HZs compare with the Bartolinis? I seem to recall Need2Know mentioning he liked the Bartolinis better. Are the EMGs a significant step down?
EMG HZs are the most hated pickup on TalkBass.
The only way they could be hated more would be if they were made by Behringer out of kittens.
Not everyone hates HZs, and (incredibly) they actually come on some high-end basses as well as various low-mid import stuff, but they're one of the products it's "OK" to despise here.

Anyone think this is a "dead" issue? Got my auto 30-days out email from them about a week ago. I actually had forgotten about this until I got the email. I did elect to keep my order as it costs nothing to do this. But, at this point I gotta believe this is not a very "live one" anymore. Why would a quantity of these mysteriously appear? Best guess is where someone here speculated that they are repossessing some from bankrupt stores and have made a deal to sell Amazon what they think they will actually get their hands on. Outside of that, I can't think of a way they would suddenly get some. I'm guessing they have sold at least 10-15+ just to TB members (active and lurkers) of this thread.
I'm guessing it's dead but you never know. I was just playing my buck40 Bartodeanie yesterday and thinking I should cancel my order for another. As I know my order was before many in this thread it would give someone else a chance to get one. Especially now that I got my $130 Ibanez ATK300. If you can afford to take the $140 hit to whatever payment method your using and you still want a solid active skinny neck bass I would recommend keeping the order alive.
I forgot that I had actually ordered two more of these. I just canceled my orders that were placed on 10/12 and 10/29. So a couple people just got bumped up in line if these ever do come in.

Actually, don't know why you'd want more than one unless you were in the retail business or absolutely loved them and were going to customize the other two....
I'm just a sucker for a bargain. I doubt you could profit much on these. I've listed my Q4 standard amber on Craigslist for $250-$220OBO hoping to get $200 and haven't had a single reply after three attempts. Although Dean makes a decent product I don't think there is much respect for the brand.
Maybe try a pawn shop if you really want to liquidate it. Or ebay with a minimal reserve? Hard to believe these go for $520 on Amazon & 8th Street Music.
Yes, I emailed him when this deal was available, telling him that he might have a hard time selling it right now, and giving him the link. He replied that that wasn`t the Bart model, I didn`t know what I was talking about, and basically mind my own business. He now has the link in his ad, since it`s back up > $500.
