I disagree with most. The guys has amazing clean chops. Do I love his tone? No. Can the guys play circles around nearly everyone making these negative comments. yes.

A mess of notes!
He has some solid technique for what he is doing, slow the shag down and put some feel into it would be my advice. It sounds like poopie overall because its literally a mess of notes. Tempo is umm kinda important!

I kind of like it as I do simmilar stuff home
I'm playing with multiple bands and I almost never do that on stage though.. Only when there's that moment in the middle of a funk song when they say your name 
I dont think there's anything wrong with showing off here and there as long as it is entertaining. Music is entertainment after all.

To everyone who's saying he'll never get called for gigs, it doesn't work in a band, etc...
Just know that he's had two successful metal bands, Entheos and The Faceless, and he works those slap chops into some mean tech-death. Very talented guy and I have a lot of respect for what he does. Saw him live with Entheos a while ago and the dude blew my mind with that death metal double thumping!
