Yeah that thing is a beaut.

One thing I’ve been a little confused on is the active passive on the DGTC. on the NGs the DGTC is a toggle switch where as on a Canadian I believe they’re push/pull?!? This I do not know for certain but I was under the impression the P/P was part of the pre. Namely the glock. Or is it a separate component all together? The reason I ask is I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a Canadian made with the active passive toggle as per the NGs.
So I guess my very rounded point is, is that the original Vol P/P pot or didn’t that come with the added DGTC as my understanding with your bass is that it originally had a glockenklang.

Anyone know anything about this?

Well, this amazing Z3 is factory stock, and it has a DGTC and has a volume pot that pulls out for passive, if that helps...

Dunno. Here’s a gut shot that may shed some light.

Both my active (older) ABII and SuperJ5 have passive/active toggle switches.

My NG2 is SOLD!

Hey folks,

I just decided to purchase a Z3 with plenty of options. To those who know Dingwall's prices, could you help me work out how much it could cost? I love this colour and I'd love a Darkglass Tone capsule in it too, I initially thought of going for a red colour but I'm not sure how it'd turn out... And if possible, I'd love the neck to be dyed black but retain the feel of maple. The caption of the picture reads Z3 maple burl burst purple to faded black reverse reverse. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

Work with any Dingwall dealer and they’ll help you figure out prices for options.

Bassdirect have something very similar to what you’re considering on order if you can live with speedo bars and a Wenge neck. Pretty sure it’s not spoken for and will be arriving in the next couple of months.

I just put a deposit down on a Ducati White NG3-6 string that M.L. has pre-ordered. Not expecting it this year but hopefully by Spring 2019.

The Ducati White is IMO one of the classiest NG3 colors. It will be exciting to see these 6's arrive. Thanks!

If it's still 2 months from delivery, can't that order still be customized?
Any bass that close to delivery had customization options closed months ago. Once they hit production status nothing can be changed.

Wow, your pics are really nice! Thank you and enjoy that beauty! I am surprised the pool water is not wavy from the low notes generated by that monster! That tuning is WILD and could produce earthquakes so don't turn it up to 11.

So if you have a bass on-order, as I do...
Is there any notice that the window to change options is closing?
We receive notice when the bass goes into production. But that can be quite a while, months before the bass is ready to ship. The best thing to do is sit down and slowly go over everything you want and get any changes in early as possible so that you get exactly what you want.

It may well be longer than a couple of months out, I enquired after it in January but decided to go a different route. The reverse burst purple Z3 is my ideal design and I will get that spec one day but I talked myself out of buying a $10k (CAD) bass to play punk rock shows in basements, for now.....

I’m pretty certain they won’t be dying neck wood or fretboard. I don’t believe this has ever been a Dingwall option but if you wanted a darker fretboard with a maple feel zirocote might be an option for you.
For pricing you need to know what beck wood option you want. Wenge is an up charge.
Same for fretboard wood. Most options from standard are an upcharge.
Pick up selection.
Preamp. I believe hebDGTC would be an upcharge from the glockenklang.
Contrast layer? Probably not required with paint like that.
Blocks on the fretboard are an upcharge.
A bass like that is going to push you up to $10000 CAD easy. Give or take a few hund is my speculation.

That’s a stunner of a bass for sure.
