I will also add this which is more opinion then factual basis also.
I also find it important to support fellows like payson. If it costs me a few extra dollars a year in more sets of strings or higher costs so be it.
Payson has offered up a variety of alternate options that no one else does ie. Reduced core, flats, etc. I would HATE to hear that he folds shop much like BSO as it’s just not a profitable situation.
I have no idea of his business goings on but I do know I want/ us multiscale users NEED businesses like his to succeed if we want more variety. I have no concern of Dingwall having any issues keeping things moving along at this point but the smaller guys who expand on this fanned fret world we live in need our support. Who knows what next innovation they will offer up to us if given the opportunity.
Payson also offers a bridge option that is unique to fanned fret basses. Just a side point that I know a few of the fellows in here have put to task on their combustion models.
Lol. In closing. Not only do I love payson strings I look forward to the opportunity to explore his next options ether they be blacks or glow in the dark of another variety of flats. (I don’t know if it’s a thing but I’d be real curious to try SS flats on my incoming Dingwall)
Anywho. Opinion expressed!
That’s for reading.
