If you're considering moving pickups - make sure you check phase or polarity or whatever it is...I'm pretty sure 'bridge' and 'neck' are different somehow, so they cancel hum or something. I'm sure someone more technical can speak to this. I replaced a p-tone with an FD3 and the shop was super diligent about having me send pictures of the existing pu, so the correct one was provided.

I was just about to post this too - super important to be aware of.

Yes she is. Kinda dumb though. Full of love but....... it’s a good thing she is pretty and fun.

I like this idea. I’m always on the prowl for instruments that need a rehoming. It does sound anointing my technical paygrade but I’m sure a little research could go along way.

Staffies are the best. So much love to give, not so much brains though. But I think that's why we love them :)

Yeah she’s actually a bully. Our older girl is a staffy and she Ian WAY smarter. She’s very smart and compassionate. She’s the best dog ever.

I'm seriously thinking of switching the Glock pre to the Darkglass TC on my Lee. Has anyone done this, and could share the experience? Not just how hard it is to actually rewire the bass but how you liked (or not) the results.
I think you’d have a pretty unique combo there. The DGTC and super fatties isn’t all that common.

I've never owned or played a Sklar, but I dig the DGTC in my (alder/maple/maple) NG-2. It is a tasty and excellent tone-shaping tool.

putting on my Nomex (flame retardant) overalls.

Any of you use flats on your Dingwall?
I ordered a set of Labellas from Jason/BSO.
Need to turn my NG3 into a country bass for a fill-in gig on Saturday.

Before I got my Combustion it came from someone who used flats. I couldn't get with it at all. Now has nickel/steel Dingwall strings on it...and will continue once it comes back from it's fretless conversion.

I tried a set of tape wounds on my SP/J. Love the way it feels and sounds at home but after rehearsal on Tues, I think I’m going back to GHS Pressure Wounds.

I’m happily running TI jazz flats (B to G) on my SPJ5 (neck pup solo) for music with folk/honky-tonk vibe.

Payson was working on flat wounds for Dingwalls. I didn't pay much attention to it as it wasn't in my wheelhouse, so I'm not sure where it ended up. @Blues Cat ?

We have the Payson Fanned Flats in 5 and 6 string sets.
