Uh oh, somebody has a confirmed case of DAS.
That is a very cool looking axe!
While on that site, this one also really caught my eye - I love the styling:

I'm guessing it would be one to move the pu select and one for the 3 band pre
Yes, I just spoke to Mark at Bass Direct and they will put in two more holes for the low mid and pu selector. They'll run it at 9v and put the battery in the control cavity. Also confirmed the Luminlay speedo bars and side dots.

I'm not familiar with the price of new Afterburners, does that sound like a good price? There'll be a few more $ needed for the Transferwise fee.

LOL too true. As you know I am also interested in a wenge/wenge neck and the Darkglass pre, and that finish really caught my eye. Light weight too. I thought this would make a nice compliment to my Z3.

It's a good price for the spec. You may get hit with duties so factor that in. As for transferwise, the fees are pretty low, much lower than paypal etc.
I transferred some money from the UK to Canada this year through them at a very good rate with no issues. Waiting for the money to transfer over is somewhat nailbiting though.

OT: What is the advantage of Transferwise over a standard international wire transfer from my bank? (Never heard of Transferwise before.)

From what I can tell you get a better currency exchange rate. I did a Google convert and it was a higher price than what Transferwise gave me. Plus apparently it's quite popular and Bass Direct uses it all the time. Much cheaper fees than PayPal international.

Very nice spec and yes a good price IMO. You’ll probably have between $100-150 in the duty fee as well. You’ll have to pay that before the bass is delivered. If you’ve never done it, pretty painless (except for the $$$) online process.

Ouch! Just found out it'll be a 5% duty.

It worked like a charm for me when I bought my Super P5 from them. Though I'm of course in the EU.

is @xnewyorka out of basses? He probably has one or two with a DG. He's a great guy to work with!
My ABZ-5 is a fantastic 8 pound bass, and has a Darkglass and a wenge fb, but the neck is maple and he wants wenge. Somebody else who would like a maple neck should grab it!
