I'm gonna try to make this short. I posted in the Live Sound forum and it was paragraphs. I don't expect much response there, LOL!
Gots a question for any of you that use wireless units for your bass. I'm having a truckload of issues with my guitar wireless units. I've got a Shure, multiple Line 6's, and the Xvive U2. All of them dropout like crazy, to the point they're unusable at a gig. The one wireless unit I have that doesn't do that is my Sennheiser IEMs. The difference? The guitar wireless units are all digital, my IEMs are analog. Our last, and our current, sound guys use digital mixers with monster routers and they create pretty powerful networks. Our current guy also keeps his rig right next to the stage. We asked him to change channels or settings or whatever, which he did, and they still sucked. Let me also add that my guitar player is going through the same thing with his gear. I know I could just use a cord, which I have been doing, but the wireless is really convenient and keeps the stage cleaner. I think our sound guys digital network is interfering with our digital wireless units. Anyone else dealt with this?

Digital Wireless That Work In 1.9-2.4GHz Band can definitely be affected by WiFi routers etc.
what line 6 units are you using ?
One thing to try would be changing the
The location of your sound guys router moving it farther from your wireless units. Are they in the same rack as your IEMs ?
Also see if he can run his network in the 5g Band only. Turning off the 2.4 band.
That will get it farther away from your digital guitar / Bass Wireless. It will reduce his range a little but also there’s less traffic on 5ghz band so that May be to his advantage.
My band all uses Sennheiser wireless IEMs
and a Shure RF Mic in the analog range.
My bass wireless is the Line 6 G70. It lives on my pedal board band I’ve had zero problems.
Guitar player used an older G90 unit. We sometimes had issues when it Lived in the IEM / digital Mixer Rack That also has a wireless router.
Since moving it to a separate rack away from the main IEM rack much better results.
Also are you scanning for clean channels at each gig ? This can really help as well and on units that have antena make sure they have proper placement. Etc
& if IEMs / wireless units live in a rack with digital mixers or anything with a CPU like Axe FX , Helix, Kempers etc try giving them a rack space or 2 buffer between any wireless transmitter or receivers.
Also belt packs. I keep my bass RF pack on my strap and my IEM RF pack on the opposite side of me on my hip.
When I tried putting both on my guitar strap I would get interference.

That's some great advice! Thanks! I've got the Line 6 G70 on my board and I keep the Xvive U2 in my gig bag. None of our wireless stuff is racked together, so that's not an issue. We(my guitar player and I) are now both scanning at every gig. It hasn't helped. I do also keep my bass TX and my IEM RX on opposite sides of my body. My IEMs have been flawless the entire time, it's only our instrument wireless units. I agree that it's a probably also a proximity issue, but, again, my analog Sennheiser IEMs have been rock solid. I'll ask him if he's using 5 or 2.4 Ghz. Good call out!
That's super interesting. I've never seen that before. I've not had any issues with my Sennheiser stuff, so that might be why I haven't seen that before, LOL! That's actually kinda cool. I'ma dive a little deeper into that...Thanks!
That is not Sennheiser specific. They just happened to have published it. But the technology is the technology. It doesn't matter what company's label is on it.
That site will tell you about EXTERNAL interference.
But you also need to concern yourself with LOCAL interference from other stuff on the same frequencies right on stage with you.
If your stuff works fine at home but not on stage, then that might be the problem, and not the external signals.
Yeah, I get that. Since nobody else published that, I never got wind of it. If I'd had an issue with Sennheiser, I may have run across it before now. Neither Line 6 or Shure has directed me to a Sennheiser page...LOL!

I lost a couple of cabs AND a Modulus Q5 SS to *expletive deleted* thieves. I will find that bass one of these days, and I will find out who stole it, and they will be very sad...

I hope the consequences are severe.
On a much happier note than my wireless issues or Mr. Ting getting robbed, I'm hoping beyond hope that a pic in the Dingwall ABZ gallery is indicative that Derek Blakley(Haji's Kitchen) is getting a new bass, which will, hopefully, lead to some new music and vids from him!

Sickest looking ABZ. I almost had the slap pocket installed on my new build.... but then I decided to go fretless and it’s not an option I think that would be overly valid. He’s a badass. His old red sixer was for sale here a while back

I can't get over how awesome the NG-2 middle (neck) pickup sounds soloed. I usually cut the middle and high mids a little bit (that DG preamp sure is gritty and snappy). It sounds so good finger picked.
With a hint of B3K it also gives a very nice punky angry pick tone.

Watch out where the huskies go...
I am quite taken with the tone of the neck pickup soloed on my Z3. Though I also like the middle pickup soloed on my NG3.
