Dingwall Owners Club

I've got the exact bass. Curious as to why you're selling it although I can see it being somewhat redundant given your current collection.
I can't go back to it once I got my Z3. I have my eye on a Super P, then after that I'm looking at a Dbird Standard.

I kind of wish you could still get the voodoo blade switching. I wanna give that a whirl.

I also wanted to give that a go.
I think there was only 5-6 ever made. 1 came up about a year ago on eBay...... in Japan...... well used..... way over priced......
And not amazing to look at.

I even requested in on my last build que just in case it was an option.

Neat idea. Lotsa work I bet though.

Those screws on the bridge are ALL 1/16". You should NOT use a 1.5mm wrench on them, because it is a little too small and it will ruin the holes. All other screws are metric, but those are SAE 1/16".

Thanks for the information! I have to get myself that 1/16" key. I finally had time to take picture of my new bass, so here it is:

Looks strangely similar to my first Dingwall, except yours is horizontally polarized and mine was vertically polarized! A word of caution: It didn't take long before one Dingwall turned into ten Dingwalls due to a highly contagious disease known as DAS:

Oh, you've got it good. Your "retirement bass" is morphing into three. :) Life is short - go for 'em!
I know right? There is still morphing going on... Stay tuned. ;)
Just wheeling and dealing as best I can because once on the fixed income, that's it.
Gonna be hard to top that Z3 though. So Sweet!

Oh, I understand completely. I don't think the Z can be 'topped'. I do know that you can find some other prime flavors of good among Sheldon's creations.

I've got to admit, I'm the type of guy that is impatient enough to buy one of those Dingwalls from Japan. If I had the cash I definitely would grab one of those amazing overpriced Z3s that are for sale. Japan basically has a gold mine of amazing Dingwall basses ranging from exotic Z3s to D-Birds, ABZs, Ng-3s, Super Js and Super Ps. AND THEY'RE JUST SITTING ON THEM! WAITING FOR SUCKERS LIKE ME! Thank god I'm broke, otherwise I would need an intervention. :crying:

Thanks! Yeah, I could (and rightfully should, in the interest of marital preservation) part with:
Two Z3s, one D-Bird, two ABZs, one Super J5xxx, one Super P5, one NG2, turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.

We'll start with the partridge. Who wants it?
