Does anyone know, by chance, if the Pure Blues will fit long scale DWs? I know the Hi Beams will because the first taper down at the headstock is after the nut by about a 1/4”.

Just got a picture from a good friend that has a NG3 but uses Pure Blues on his P basses. I asked him to check and it looks like, for the long scale 4 string, they will work. The taper down on the E happens AFTER the but just like on their Hi Beams. I may give some a shot and report back.

Users of the Pure Blues...I hear they give a very stainless type tone? Also, how is their longevity?

I was using them on my White Wimbish Euro up until I sold it to Marvin. I was quite happy with the tone, and I'm very much a SS guy. Longevity seemed on a par with DRs.

Ok, couldn't wait. Here's the new bass. Purchased it from Bass Club Chicago. Mark was great to deal with the bass came perfectly setup and intonated. Just needed a quick tune. It's going to be a fun weekend.

My God man. That thing is gorgeous. I painted an SG in plum crazy. That's the bass I would want but a four string.

So I have the purple NG3 out on loan for a month or so since I'm sitting out a few weeks for some fun surgery and I lent it to my sit in to learn the set & use on stage...In the meantime I've been using the Rastaburst for the past several runs. It's been interesting getting re-acquainted with it after about 85 shows on the NG!

In the meantime, here's a full night (two sets) of us live that is pretty not bad. The recording is a good multi-track so overall it sounds ok. This is Rastaburst->Monique (to M2500 on stage), all tracks are original and it covers territory between what you'd expect; reggae/soul/dancehall to metal, funk, psychedelic.

For effects people, there's a number of songs that DO have stuff happening. One track, Doghouse is Broughton Joshwah; Waves has a complex chain (IE Polytope, Divaricator, Xerograph Deluxe and a handful of others), similarly Who You Follow. And Boss Battle has some of that plus Timeline & a Mantic Flex-Pro freakout.

Just listened to Freedom. Awesome. Nice mix, nice playing, bass sounded good in the mix, her voice is awesome! I miss good live music. Would have enjoyed a video.
