This is a passive 2017 AB-1 model in mint condition, with a wenge neck and fretboard, tortoise shell pickguard and Luminlay side dots. At first I thought you were selling that burl topped beauty at that price and I was prepared to buy first and apologize to my wife later. Then I double checked and reality set in. :smug:

Sheldon is supposed to be putting up boxes as an option on the site as well, which I imagine will cut that price down a touch more. But yeah, if I'm not using Payon (which I use for F#), I just get my strings from Dingwall. Not sure they make any money off of it, but I hope they do.

Yeah, I like to support the shop. 30$ a set isn't bad given what strings generally go for. I've tried Paysons on a few occasions and they just never worked for me quite as well as Sheldon's.

EB/MM are really really aggressive about design protection. I don't think anyone wants to step on their toes when it comes to copping that vibe either. Z2 pickup layout, run in series is pretty damned close. Besides, I find the Stingray body shape a bit generic. ;)

If you are cool with hardshell rectangular, the Dingwall D-Bird hardshell case is a perfect fit.
Gig bags offering good protection should also work. Here's a photo of one gig bag, I forgot which case it is. It might be a Levy's Dingwall bag, I can't recall for sure.
If you want to see photos of the D-Bird in either a Protec Contego, a Mono Vertigo, a Levy's Dingwall bag, and/or a Gator ProGo, I can get photos for you.

Cheers for the photos! Where did you get the DBird hardshell case? I have a Mono Vertigo and hoping that might do the trick but I'm open to buying a new case for it for sure.
