I’ve got a aquamarine sparkle D-Bird on order. For me the colour is perfect on it, much prefer something a little off the wall on the D-bird as it’s an oddball in the first place. I’m not surprised it’s one of the most popular colours just because it’s so different.

Personally, I cant stand the swirl finishes, they remind me of 80s hair bands and all that comes along with that.

All IMHO of course, if it’s not for you then that’s all good with me. I can’ see how it could possibly be offensive if you guys don’t like the green sparkle, but it’s great that everyone here is respectful. Different strokes etc. :)

I’m the same with the swirls. Just not my taste.
But if I could get a Shoreline Gold, Goldtop or even a Gold Sparkle D-bird, I’d be pretty happy.

Thanks for letting me put my name on one of the first batch of Vintage Burst Standards you're getting in. I've been playing fivers for a while now, it'll be nice to get a four string in the quiver again.

I would think so.
At one point I would have and maybe still would be inclined to get a quilted 6 string and through a DGTC in it and that would be a fairly inexpensive way of have a boutique looking Dingwall for $3000 CAD

@packrat that sounds nice. I probably end up ordering a 6 way stewmac switch and do the same. So you have the D-Bird selection plus "jazz" and neck alone? I can't find the diagrams in here and i'd love to see them or a chematic on what to solder where on the stewmac switch. If there is any way you could help out with that it would be amazing.

I think a Dingwall 6 string is the ultimate implementation of the multiscale concept, given it's extended range. Looking forward to shedding on a 6 again.
