Not to distract from the Dingwall porn, but anyone here gonna make it to NAMM this year? I just scored a couple of passes and will be staying at Hilton Thur-Sunday.
I wish. You must report. There are some keyboards I'd love to see as well.

Y'all are making me want a Z again. Thank goodness there aren't any used ones calling out to me right now.
Yeah. I think even if an ideal Z popped up, I'd pass at this point. The Prima 5 and AB1 6 are doing everything I need and want, and I have two AB1 5's that mostly just sit there. I'd have to be a pretty bad deal for the seller to get me to jump at this point hah.No but there are plenty in Japan.![]()
Which keyboards?I wish. You must report. There are some keyboards I'd love to see as well.

Which keyboards?
Sequential Prophet X and Waldorf Quantum in particular. Always looking for cool small keyboard 'gadgets' too. Particular interest in Wavetable synthesis at the moment. Arturia's Pigments is cool. Would love something like that in desktop hardware or portable.

My, how that sparkles. It is so far proving to be THE most ordered color for us in the D-Bird Standard. I am sure many will like it in the NG3.
Whoah!!!!!
English please....

That’s interesting. It’s my third favourite colour of the standards (after blue purple and vintage burst). Clearly I’m out of touch.
I remember when Steve Morse played his guitar through a Minimoog. In really simple terms: Pricey drool worthy synths or cool gadgets that let you make your own sounds on the go.![]()

I was a bit surprised as well. But it is a striking color. I remember when Sheldon was deciding whether to go with this color or not. The market is demonstrating that it was a great choice of colors. I think the Vintage Burst is my personal favorite of the D-Bird Standard and is the one I actually ordered for myself. Unfortunately mine will not be here until late summer. That’s interesting. I think that your bass is an awesome color and I do personally like it better as well. Yours is a stunning bass! All I know is that I really don’t like that sparkle blue (on any bass) and that I love the purple of my D-bird Custom!
Again, I am so grateful for you working with me on this one!I think that your bass is an awesome color and I do personally like it better as well. Yours is a stunning bass!

I don’t mean to offend anyone, IMHO is where that remark came from. The market responds in unpredictable ways at times, all that really matters is that folks are getting great instruments that they love!
If I were going for a standard D-Bird, I would go for the purple/blue or the vintage burst.
Thanks! Your bass is all packed up and ready to ship Monday "If the Good Lord Willing & the Creek Don't Rise". I say that tongue in cheek but it is snowing like crazy right now. I must say that I was completely stunned at the easy playability of the 6-string as I had the preconceived idea that I would be totally intimidated by 6 strings. It made the runs I like to do SO easy! One time a guitar player complained that I was overplaying...with this 6 I bet he would REALLY complain, haha. Here's a big shout out to Michael Lomax of ShoMeMusic, aka @bebass He is the reason I will be getting one of the first NG3 6 strings next week. Best customer service in the land of Dingwall retailers. He has another (purple swirl I believe) that's not spoken for yet, and he is in line for several others.
