Anybody aware of an Afterburner II with mando frets? I know they don't do it anymore (not even on the Zs, only Sklar).

I went from a fear of fanned frets to adding a Dingwall 6 ABI or ABZ near the top of my wishlist.

I’ve almost never played with distortion but I had trouble falling asleep one night because I had a riff running through my mind.

Oh, we are quite good at inflaming latent DAS around here, for sure.

I wouldn't exactly call it "sorta" heavy. The reason that thing sustains for about 2 weeks is because it's the better part of 11 pounds.

Also, I’ve seen what’s out there for options, well under a quick search anyways and what would you this crew think a customer transmitter holder would be worth? I have a number in my mind but curious to hear the thoughts of this room.
I know you all appreciate something custom or handmade from Canada so I thought this is a fair crowd to harass

What wireless unit are you using? I sold my Shure GLXD and am now using an Xvive U2. Less than a third the cost of the Shure and has worked flawlessly. And no strap holder needed. It just plugs into the bass.

I just grabbed a used line6 g70 and so far it seems fantastic.

That's pretty cool could use for an in ear rig too

A friend is going to commission me to make a double pack for ear monitors and his bass unit.

That is FANTASTIC! I use a G70, too. I really HATE the clip that comes on the G70, it's just way too flimsy. The clip that came on the G50 was WAY better.

I might want to get with you on a double pack, as well, since I run a Sennheiser IEM setup, but I do run the cord for my monitors under my shirt. I definitely want some straps with guitar wireless holders on them...

And I just picked up a Backbeat. It is AWESOME, I totally love it!!
BackBeat – Play bass, feel bass.
It lets you FEEL the bass through your body, even playing with just earphones, or even completely unplugged.
It has a nice quality built-in headphone amp, and also a stereo aux input.
It's a little heavy, but the strap clips are super sturdy, it's definitely not going anywhere, that's for sure.
I imagine a strap-mounted container for it would be a challenge to make since it has knobs sticking out.
But yeah, the strap gets a bit "busy" with the Backbeat, the G70, and the Sennheiser IEM rx all on there!

I think I've owned just about every Dingwall model over the years except a Prima and Sklar. This is my first AB HS. Not sure if Dingwall makes a HS anymore. But after a week of shedding on this bubinga-wenge-pau ferro beauty I've become a huge fan of the HS. It's also my first passive Dingwall. Tone for days. True, it's not a light-weight at 10 lbs., but it's a pound lighter than the Ken Smith 6 string it replaced.

To me, they always remind me of what a Warwick could be like if it was crossed with a Dingwall. Right space, right time...I'd have me one of them for sure. Congratulations.
