Dingwall Owners Club

I think that top is just a little bit nicer, but yeah.

Now think of that in orange...

I know, I know - I posted that before. I can't help myself. Looks a little red on the outside - don't know that I'd do that myself, but still...

Ok. Lets take this a step further... (not that this is healthy for me). Which top would look better in that transparent orange?

$2400 for a used Stingray5 Special?

That looks like a regular old SR5 not a special. I’ll never understand L&Ms used pricing, it’s madness.

I’m guessing that one left the store and came right back. I feel as though it’s been “hangin” around along time.

There is actually a really nice HH down the street, used, at St Johns music for $1600. It’s been very tempting except I have absolutely Zero need for it. Just have to maintain the will power.

Amethyst Burst is my favorite Dingwall finish!

You may like my new build slated for a July arrival.....

Disclaimer: I will do no such actions which will involve the delay of the production of this bass. I cannot go through this again....

I have no work booked for the next 2 days....... I would be very inclined to make the drive to stoon and back if only the powers that be would allow it.
I would brave the storm we are currently experiencing for this 22.5 month experience to come to its conclusion.
I would.

As far as I know the neck got put on last week.

I may be starting to unravel at both ends as I wait....

Tuesday... nope
Wednesday..... nope

Thursday...????

Apologies...... carry on.

I am a fan of burl.
but it’s always a tough choice.

FYI. That top was the #2 top to the one I chose for my next one.
#1 was also burl.

I'm not a fan of Buckeye in general as it usually is very yellow or even green sometimes, but that one I think would look interesting. I'm usually more of this style, but I can't imagine it in orange:

Thinking aloud (in text) about the neck if/when I order a Dingwall. How about the combination of a Wenge neck and a Ziricote fingerboard? And maybe just the inlaid “D” on the 12th fret if the fingerboard selection shows nice grain or figuring.

I had an AB2 that only had side dots. I barely realized it didn't have fretboard markings until I went to sell it.

Ziracote would be killer like that.
