Do you have any audio samples, without any compression/distortion/etc ?

For the moment I have the feeling F# sounds a bit like the low B on a 34", not as loud and not as clear as the rest.

I’ve had my ABHS (tuned F#) for a little over a year now and have found the low string to be surprisingly useful. Slightly different context to @Selta though, I play in church so don’t get the opportunity for those sort of interesting riffs.

Ditto.
I play through a 1000W sub, I literally rattled a decoration off the shelf messing around during practice.

I blew it today- they threw 6 new songs at me with one song being 3 songs in pieces in 3 different keys. I got pretty close with one song but the tempo is different than the live version so I messed up on the bridge.

Oh well, there is next week.

Yeah, I have a black burst ash Combustion, the finish has really grown on me!

Solid black? Only on a jazz for me.

Has anyone here tried the FretTrax midi system on their Dingwalls?

I thought it was @BurningSkies on a Combustion he sent to Mo?

William Mitchell has it installed on one of his Dingwalls.

You need frets for FretTrax and the Dingwall that Mo worked on is my uber-fretless Combustion. Instead it has 2 preamps (DG + Graphtech) and piezo bridge.

I'm about to order an NG3 5 strings
But before i take the plundge,i need some answers,so can NG3 owner answer please
1 i've been using for years now Elixir strings,i saw this brand make xtra long scale set in 4 strings and a single B tw string,will it fit and NG3 ?

2 Could an angle jack fit in the input ?

3 pleeeease if someone have some links where i can find clean sounds from an NG3,or some sound sample,it will be very helpfull

4 what is the latest denomination for the white color? is it pearl white or ducati white ?

There's a lot that I would do if I were recording in F# -- that was just "hey, what does this sound like with no tweaking" kind of test. Even only dropping in a high-pass helps a ton with it.

Interesting, and do you have samples of that ?
As long as it's still clean I'd love to hear it.

Same question here, if you have any samples ..
For the moment it feels like the added notes are more into "sound effects" territory, I could see myself dropping such a low note here and there but it doesn't feel like something I could integrate into a standard bass line.

I can’t answer all of your questions but maybe some of this helps

1.i don’t know. Dingwall and Payson make fantastic string options.

2.ive had one I think that fit. Most don’t I think. Or if they do its just barely

3. Perhaps look for Claudio Rocca(spelling?!?)

4. Only a guess but I think Ducati

Watch the second half.

Expect a LOT of mids and clean snappy treble, Even the lowest notes have a lot of mid-range overtones to them.

If you like very aggressive sounding basses, this one is for you.

If you desire a mellow, smooth, warm bass, the Combustion is slightly better for that, but it's still going to be very aggressive.

The funny thing about my Dingwalls...photos don't really capture the finish in the same way you experience it in person. I'll bet THAT one is absolutely stunning!
