She's here lads, and oh what a stunner she is.
She came with a 3x, and though I didn't think I'd get much use out of the single pup settings, they're actually quite nice! Nice growl on the bridge, very P-like on the neck. The dual pickup settings of course are fantastic. The bridge/middle series setting instantly got me like 'oh, that's the djent bass sound I've heard on every album the last 7 years

) understandably, it's great! So gutsy and in-your-face.
Down the road I'll change the hardware to something in black, and get the 3x series/parallel switch in there, get into F#, but for now it's great as is, though I have some minor annoyances-
-I can feel the laminate edges on the back of the neck, hopefully nothing to worry about
-can't lower the pickups as much as I'd like, they nearly get in the way of my playing when I dig in, but oh well I'll adjust
-no batteries!

I was expecting that due to this thread, and had some on hand, so whatever
The preamp is also quite nice! It's much more subtle than I'm used to with my Warwicks, which feel more like shelf-type EQ's; here it seems more like there's a narrower band choice, which is more useful in my opinion.
I was skeptical about the small frets, but it really translates to some fast playing! very smart design choice.
The hype as they say, was real.
