Dingwall Owners Club

Thats normal. When the coils are in series, the impedance goes way up and brings a little noise with it.

On my Combustion, the Neck pickup in series has a smidge of hum/noise, not the bridge pickup. I installed switches to move between series/parallel wiring of each pickup individually, but had the same result when wired internally to series before the switches. It is what it is - not noticeable when playing and worth it for that different tonal option.

Thanks for the reply, from the man himself no less! One of the many reasons I love this company!

Did you review because you decided to follow through on your threat of selling and you wanted to document it before it goes away, or did you review it because you've decided to keep it?

I honestly demoed it because I was playing it lot while looking at other basses and I was reminded how much I love this bass. It isn't going anywhere!

You know,

I just can’t help but think how I’d have a hard time not ordering a Dingwall headless type bass. There’s a sweet Roscoe in the classifieds that I keep looking at but I know I need to stay away and wait patiently and hopefully.

fingers crossed... we have NAMM previews left I think.

A headless Dingwall would be killer. The finish on that bass really does look like a Carribean beach!

fingers crossed... we have 8(?) NAMM previews left I think.

A headless Dingwall would result in an IMMEDIATE call to Jason! I'd have a more difficult time not ordering more than one...

I kind of dig those new inlays. That might be something to think about for the next one.

That ABII is just ded sexay!!!:drool:

Anyway for us non facebook, non instagram, non Pinterest, troglodytes to see the pictures?

My social media skills (such as they are) begin and end with Talkbass and a local kite forum.
