Yeah, I should have clarified - your number can be the lowest serial number of your currently owned Dingwalls.

Usually true, yes. After I got my first one (NG2-4), it took less than a week to order my next two (NG2-5's), and then another couple weeks before I got my first ABZ. Then they started multiplying like rabbits...

Oh wow - so they are already up to the 6,300's. That's amazing. My customs last year were all in the high 5's, so they are really cranking them out! My guess on Brent's S/N was probably way off then.

If a club doesn't have numbers, I self-assign one for me using the number of the post link. For example this one is #34256. At least the number cannot be duplicated. That is, unless official club numbers are given out.

We don't do numbers here. It's a clumsy and difficult "thing" to maintain with no true benefit.

Y'all can blame me. I physically keeeled the numbering in this club early on.

It was wonky at best, people wanting specific numbers, others wanting multiple, others trying turn numbers in when they sold. I decided that not only was that not something we needed to truck in...but also, and more importantly I didn't want those who no longer owned Sheldon's basses to feel like they weren't part of the club or were unwelcome. And/or there are lots of people who haven't had the luck or chance to own a Dingwall and I didn't want those to be excluded. Anyone who's enthusiastic about these basses can be part of the club as far as I'm concerned.
