Yaaaaa I wouldn't be mentioning serial numbers...makes it even easier for the online scammers to scam ...someone on here (I think Nate) saw his bass forsale online..yet it was in his possession...so if they see and get matching serial numbers...even easier to scam the unsuspecting peeps. ....eeekkk.
Not sure why anyone cares about 'club numbers' anyway....but hey...why not just add the brand to your avatar tag. IMO

It was wonky at best, people wanting specific numbers, others wanting multiple, others trying turn numbers in when they sold. I decided that not only was that not something we needed to truck in...but also, and more importantly I didn't want those who no longer owned Sheldon's basses to feel like they weren't part of the club or were unwelcome. And/or there are lots of people who haven't had the luck or chance to own a Dingwall and I didn't want those to be excluded. Anyone who's enthusiastic about these basses can be part of the club as far as I'm concerned.

I’m assuming being the longer scale and ..... a dingwall,
it’s not gonna sound very traditional... but I’ve been really curious and feeling like I need to explore P territory.
I’m thinking in my Z2

I’d definitely try one in a 6er but my 5 is a suitable candidate I think for one in the neck position

I’d love to hear some Long scale P tone recording if anyone has some

Dingwall doesn't make a 6 string P-Tone. I've asked on and off, probably about every 6 months since I got my 6er. No bueno so far.
I've no recordings that aren't under heavy FX with the bass with it. I don't know that I'll have time to put anything together, but if I do, I shall.

I have one...though I'm not really looking to sell it. I got it back when I got my NG3 and tried it briefly then. At the time I wasn't in love with it, but it was also at a time when I was trying out a reverse 3X switching scheme (Neck only-Neck/Middle series-Neck/Bridge Parallel-Bridge only). And one of these days I may revisit it.

At the time I much preferred the traditional FD-3 in that place.

I'm glad the red pops a bit more than I thought. It's pretty fantastic! I won't, officially, be able to call myself a 6-string player until I get through a gig on it, but I'm shooting for this Saturday. I'll be 'shedding the rest of the week, making sure I can hop back & forth between the basses.

Oh, gotta have the inspection photo...

What a stunner! I'm not the biggest fan of the blacked out heel, neck, and headstock option - but it looks good here.

Thanks, mane! I get that, I'd probably think twice about doing it, if I was doing a lighter finish, but anything that darker, I absolutely LOVE the black out option, I think it ties everything together. Considering that I prefer darker finishes, I'll probably keep the dark theme going with the next one, even if it's a Z...:thumbsup:;)

I guess I have a type, eh? They are both really exceptional instruments. I've had the NG2-5 for a while and I really like it. The Super P5 is a recent acquisition so that I could try out the slightly shorter scale. It's every bit as excellent as I expected, but I think inevitably I'm going to pass it on to fund an ABI or Z2 order. Hard to do though - really wish I could keep both.

Hi! A couple questions to get more info. Is this passive? Did you unwire the pickups from the jack/other pickups before measuring?
