Did we ever come to a consensus on whether new NG3 models come with the D-bird or 3X pickup switching?

I think we need a poll on which bass manufacture is dingwall players' second favorite
I own two Spector basses but only one Dingwall, so it could be argued that Dingwall is my second favorite
I, for one, always found it strange that the B+M mode on the NG3 was in parallel, since series mode is Nolly's preferred mode. I guess it has to do with the all pickups-mode not working or being too hot all in series?

I try to play each of my basses equally, since I enjoy them all. However, my short scale Mustang PJ lives on my bass stand, and the others are in cases in the closet. Because of that, it’s the one I grab most often. So...
When I try to do an honest evaluation of “if I could only have one” I usually end up with the Spector Euro 5. Sure, it’s one of 12 Alex Webster zombie blood finished, so it’s rare. However, the 17mm spacing makes it the easiest to play. I’ve got nerve damage, so the wider spacing and fanned frets makes the D Bird tougher to play, particularly in certain positions. The D Bird has electronics and pickup combos I tend to favor. I like the neck profiles for different reasons. The Spector is an anchor, but I only play seared, so it’s less of an issue. It’s not an easy choice, and I’m glad I don’t have to make that choice.

Next question. 3X switch has Series Bridge+Middle. Is it possible to wire the Bridge+Neck in series instead of parallel?

I think you would need a custom switch for that. On a 2 pick up bass it’s an option though
Yes. The reverse colors and the inlays are different. I think the electronics are the same. There were 12 made in 2014 I believe. I’m sure Alex must have more than one. When I saw one pop up on TB for sale, I was all over it. Every time I grumble about not snatching a limited edition Ric color or some other rarity, I remind myself I’ve got one of 12. I don’t run a museum here.

I went to put some Dingwall nickels on the P last night and the B was TOO LONG(??). I should have caught on sooner as it was red flagging but being tired I didn’t clue in quick enough...
I think a longscale string snuck into this pack!!
good thing I had an old set kicking around
Anyways lesson learned.... pay better attention if it seems too long. It is too long.
