That's all well and fine, but doesn't your wife sing in some kinda reggae band?

Mine hums tunelessly in the shower. Not much help on the Dingwall front.

Oh, no...my wife is a ceramicist who also has a BFA in painting & a masters in museum studies. God no I don't want to hear her sing on mic, nor does she.

When I'm on the road, this is what she's doing... (note that we both also have 'professional' jobs too)...

We all have likes and dislikes...often times it also comes down to the instrument/model as well. I certainly wouldn't turn down a 60's fiesta red fender if it was given to me ;) Though I do like CAR way better. I never thought I'd order a dark green bass ever, but here I am!

The colors I personally (that means for me as a person) are the ones that people seem to love. I find black or white instruments to look incredibly boring with only a few exceptions (for some reason those colors look fantastic on Les Paul Deluxe models!). But I'm happy for people to get the instrument they want in a color they like...and maybe makes them want to pickup and play that instrument even more. I generally don't love 'natural' finishes but also ended up with two Dingwalls with no colors at all and I don't hold that against them...it wasn't their fault.

I’m in the same boat. Which is why this one got refinished.

I was lucky in the sense that I married a lady that had already been the lead singer in an LA originals band by the name of Man Eater (all girl) in the late 70's. They were about to sign with Mercury Records when the two sisters who formed the band and wrote all the songs died when their van went off the road/cliff in a rain storm in the Hollywood Hills. This was all before we met.

Sorry for the bummer story, but it explains how wonderfully understanding my wife is about my music. Fully supportive, but still has a death grip on our finances. Ya gotta take the good with the bad, eh?

LOVE that black Z above...maybe they are using new paint/stain to make black, black and not purple black? I sure hope so. Not that there is anything wrong with the other - but when someone orders black, they could be a bit butthurt to see purple hues.
When i ordered mine years ago, i requested trans black burst no purple hues - and then we got the call that it can't be guaranteed - so i went red black burst ---no regrets.
Did anyone see that green one on IG with the green block inlays? I need to digest that a bit.

My wife calls that colour "dead salmon". I can't disagree with her. I am not a fan, although I can appreciate other's love for it. Maybe because it was a rare one at the time that it seems to be flooding the market now...
