Dingwall Owners Club

Back in after almost a decade!

Crazy nice instrument.

Huge props to John @xnewyorka for his stellar communication, sincerity, and willingness to help out above and beyond!

www.JohnFoxBass.com for one of the nicest dealers out there!

I can’t stop staring at this specimen of a Z2 lordy *phew* just gorgeous.

yeah! Fantastic collection and that Z2 is a stunner.
Couldn’t agree more about John. His contribution to the bass community around here is already missed.

Crap! Did they boot John too?
Honestly, this is a big reason why my time spent on this site continues to decline (and why I also keep my various ad-blockers/trackers blocking this site, too). The powers that be here decide to drive away the best contributors as a matter of course. @paul et. al. don't seem to care and hide behind "it's the rules, they know when the sign up" drivel.

what are the rules? I have no idea.

Wow! John is one of the most considerate people I have met on the interwebs. All interactions with him have been most pleasant - before and after he became a dealer. Very insightful and always willing to help. He did speaker comparison videos for me when he knew I was in Canada and wouldn’t be buying from him. Well I surprised him and bought his Z3! And will likely order from him again soon. One of the great guys out there.

Ditto to all these thoughts. I also have already started to cut back here as a result. Rules are rules, but in this case it seems they are not enforced fairly or logically. John is and will be missed and knowing what I do it seems the rules were not violated but it didn't matter.

John is a class act and the sole reason I own a custom Canadian Z3. I'm in a place where I can't even drive to try one. He talked with me on the phone numerous times and then made multiple long videos demonstrating tones and differences in basses. Then after the sale we've stayed in touch and he continues to be helpful.

That's all I'll say on the ridiculousness of it. Otherwise I hope you Dingwall heads are doing well!

I'm fine as frog hair. ;) I never get tired of plugging one of the finest bass guitars on the planet into the best rig I've ever played and getting my Dingwall grin on every weekend. We're in the minority of churches who presently have live music - my gig couldn't be more steady. I do miss seeing the designer and builder of my (incredible!) cabinets around TB, but he's also doing fine despite being banned...

The first time this bass has dawned the Payson SS. First string change from the strings she left the shop with!!!
