NBD y'all! The finish looks great in person, and I'm really liking the 3x switch. I'll keep the DB switch in my birds, but the contrast is big between the two.

This is my second attempt at 6 string, and so far so good! There's a lot to get used to, but it will be fun.

This is a really inspiring instrument!

When it comes to micro basses like this, there are 2 manufacturers that I really like:
The Symphonette from Stradi (Marek Dabek)

The Miezo from Maurizio Uber Basses

Maurizio also has a unique model called 3XM, which allows you to swap different scale length necks. You could even swap a fretted and fretless neck whenever you want.

Ive seen these online and thought maybe there is temptation but after my dream jam it felt so uncomfortably compact I lost any remote inkling of interest....yeah, it was just a dream but.....

In all honesty I do find myself stumble even going to the Super series after having been a long scale player for so long. Perhaps when my left shoulder fully craters then ill be rocking something like this

Update on my low B situation- ended up swapping out for the other set of Payson strings I had and now the B tuned to A sounds exactly as I'd hoped. Perfect definition even down to the open A and the fretted notes sound great. Guess it was indeed just a dead string and now all is well.

I had my eyes on those before I went dingwall, didn't like the sound at all. Far too polite.

it takes a bit more finessing to get a great sound outta the pre amp and the passive mode seems to take a serious db cut. I’ve got it dialed I pretty great and set up fantastically for my preferences but there is a few key factors that keep it seriously lacking in comparison to my Dingwalls.

Tonally, it can sound great. With the gear I have I can introduce it to any mix.
That said, only bass I have under 8 lbs and very compactly fits in a car loaded with family and dogs.

Ok I'm seriously thinking about either putting a preamp in my passive dingwall, or changing the one I have in the other.
Is there something I should know ? Like pot values, shaft diameters, etc ?

I have not changed a pre myself but I do know the shaft diameters are smaller on the glockenklang. If you are going to the glock I believe they can supply sleeves if you talk to them direct.
If you are going the other way then you’ll have to increase hole size I believe.
Best bet is to confirm specs from the manufacturers.

I switched out one of the EMG pres for a DGTC and used the same knobs. I also changed out an old Voodoo with Bartolini hardware for a modern Aguilar... But have no idea with a glock etc.

The opposite. Had a (possibly faulty) DGTC replaced with a Glockenklang.

This is very true. Currently switching from Glock to Darkglass and I'm having to find much smaller shaft pots.

I thought about this with my Z and like Nate said, the holes are different. I would also suggest contacting the Dingwall tech Jeff. When I did, he even wanted a pic of the control cavity so he could judge if there would be room for the DGTC. I ended up selling the bass and getting an AB1 w/ DGTC.
