^this is correct, but there is still an option or two. If your switch is the 3X (I think I see though the wiring that it's marked with a 3 but I can't be sure since it's obscured), you'll need to switch it out for a D-Bird switch, but in doing so your other pickup options will change.

One thing worth trying though... Switching the leads for the middle and neck pickups. That would leave you with this set of options:
Bridge solo - Bridge/Neck Series - Bridge/Middle Parallel - Middle solo.


If that set of options works for you, it's worth a try.

OOOOOh man. Id love to hear/play the epoxied version.. Pics at least of that gorgeous monster.

I imagine your climate is drastically different being coastal Island vs Central praries... We have a bit of a volatile climate here with chinooks in the winter etc. Ive noticed minor adjustments required on my fretted necks but with the "no lines" option I haven't encountered your issue. I definitely find wenge to be more stable then maple necks in this part of the world.

Awesome, thanks for the info.

I was afraid the exact setup that I wanted wasn't possible with this particular pot, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

My favorite setting on the bass is Bridge/Neck parallel, passive. So I definitely don't want to give that up.

I can live with having the bridge/middle series - it sounds better when I EQ some body into it and since I run bridge/neck parallel passive, I can use the active passive switch like on/off EQ setting for the bridge/middle series setting.

Here is the first fretless I had. One of the earliest Sheldon made I think. I couldn’t handle a 6 string and sold it. But I was hooked on fretless Dingwalls. Had a fretless neck made for a P5. That was GREAT but I sold that to go back to long scale. Had this neck made (Jatoba/ebony) for the Cocobolo ABII. Love it!

All this fretless talk reminds me that I captured a unicorn (a lightly used lined fretless Super 5 neck) a couple years ago and it’s been hiding in my closet since. I had grand plans for it that have not yet come to fruition. Love to see them realized, but maybe it’s time to pass it on instead. I’ve considered posting it FS in the past, but never gone through with it. Feel free to reach out if you have any interest. I’m on the fence at the moment.
