Any luthier recommendations for sending out a spare AB neck to for de-fret, luminlay, and epoxy coating?

Mo is always my first thought with stuff like this... Heck I even sent him my neck down from Calgary

Yup, Mo’s the guy for you. He did @BurningSkies Combustion neck, or rather re-did it. Just google Mo’s Bass Shop for his contact info.

I imagine your climate is drastically different being coastal Island vs Central praries... We have a bit of a volatile climate here with chinooks in the winter etc. Ive noticed minor adjustments required on my fretted necks but with the "no lines" option I haven't encountered your issue. I definitely find wenge to be more stable then maple necks in this part of the world.

Walnut back, Bubinga top, Bubinga neck, Wenge?/epoxy? fretboard. (Yes, that nut is slightly shifted - one day I'll fix it, but it plays fine)

The epoxy coating is thick enough that the expansion/contraction issues aren't an issue.

So the new ones are not epoxied?

No. At least mine is not and the last few that I know of are not. I love the raw ebony but I’d also like an epoxied Fretless

Haven't heard anything about my AB1, but in the meantime.

I've changed out the machine heads for Hipshot USA's in black and I'm currently waiting on some black Hipshot solo's for the bridge.

I've had my NG2 for about 5 months now. Last night I noticed what I thought was dirt stuck on the volume knob, which I tried to clean off - turns out it seems to be the finish on the knob breaking down.

Any other NG/Combustion owners experience a similar problem? Nothing serious, but I feel the finish shouldn't be breaking down like this after 5 months. I keep it on a stand all day and haven't knocked/scratched the knobs on anything, so the only thing that comes into contact with the knob are my fingers, and they hardly touch the top.

If it's anything like the cosmo black hardware on Ibanez's it just gets eaten by the sweat and oils from your body.

I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. The body is walnut with a macassar ebony top and maple (I think) contrasting layer. The neck is wenge, fingerboard ebony.

I have an order in right now that will be very close to this. I went with a purple heart contrast layer and black limba for the body wood along with macassar ebony for the top and fingerboard and wenge neck. It's an AB-II 5-string fretless meant to evoke an Old World feel and yours definitely does that vibe. Just 12 more months...
