Just had my work truck stolen though so I don’t exactly know what the foreseeable future looks like.

Hate to admit it, but I thought it was interesting that the luminlay was installed in little chunks across the fret line. Then it hit me (there are strings on it, stupid!). :rollno:

Still one of the most ridiculously beautiful pieces of wood I’ve ever seen!
That’s sucks big about your truck!! The work truck can be a double whammy when there’s tools involved. Happened to two of my friends over the last 6 months...both got their trucks back but not the tools..one is a carpenter, the other a mobile mechanic...seriously LAME!!
Best of luck in your retrieval, etc!

Yeah that's a question I would have had for one of sheldon's live q&a : why the pickup choice, and did they ever consider a typical 90s humbucker, for instance EMG 40DCs ?
Maybe they tried already and it just wasn't a good match, everything is possible.

thanks man.... there was tools involved and some recovery has been made. It’s quite impressive how clueless heroine junkies can be as they posted a few of my tools ok Kijiji the very next day. I called the police and they seized and returned a small portion of my losses. The following Friday my truck was recovered and is home safely now. Rekeying is tomorrow as the shop it was stolen from leaves the keys in vehicles.

Thanks a lot for the well wishes everyone. As mentioned above, I’m on the path to putting it behind me. It’s undetermined just yet exactly how far out of pocket I’m gonna be but I’m really happy to have the old clunker back..... shes reliable as all heck and the thought of replacing it made me cringe. The whole experience has been a disheartening dose of reality that I didn’t see coming. The worst part is that I can look on Kijiji and still see some of my tools listed as for sale.... if I go after them, I’ll end up in jail vs the junkies who were released within 24 hrs with a court date. Anyways, this song the place I suppose but that you guys a bunch for the well wishes and know that my losses have been minimized it seems.

ps... if it ever happens to anyone else know that the shops insurance will not pay a cent if their doors are locked and the alarm is set. GPS and a hidden kill switch are also being installed on my truck this week.
