No it doesn’t. Ducking brutal.

have you contacted the local delivery depot. My Spector sat in hiatus for 3+ weeks when it was just a stones throw away from my house..... talking to the local delivery depot manager seemed to expedite it once I had a person on the case.

I started to call but the general number is just a stupid 800 AI call system that gets you nowhere. I couldn't dig up an actual direct number, so I did a 'pick up at location' request onnline.

i was having similar issues so I just went down to the local facility and talked to the manager direct.
That said I was 2 1/2 weeks into it being over due. Hopefully yours shows up today.

I can't wait to see it!

When I had my SP5 sent by FedEx, it was coming in on a holiday weekend so I busted my butt to pick it up at their facility at the airport before closing on the Friday evening. They couldn't find it (or said they couldn't). I finally went to get it the following day at their distribution centre and they charged me an additional $50 because they had to pull it out of the process!

Not everyone can do this, but I have my local FedEx delivery guy on speed dial (he used to be in the youth group at my church). As I mentioned before, if it's a high dollar package, I'm still meeting it at the airport, but this guy texts me when it's raining or threatening rain to lift the garage door so he can put any package(s) inside for me.

Just last week we had to order a Birth Certificate for my mother in law who has dementia. FedEx tried to deliver it to her apartment 3 times and were about to return it to sender as undeliverable. We intercepted the final notification and called our driver up and he had it held for pickup.

Not an option for most folks, but if you can meet your regular driver and establish a relationship it pays off!

Around here there are different drivers for different days. I know the weekend guy pretty well and he's solid. In fact, he called me a few Saturdays back to let me know there was a box that had been mis-addressed by the shipper and he'd realized it and would be dropping it by. So that's nice. But not so sure that anyone during the week is paying attention. Hopefully my request to hold at one of their locations in town has eyes on it fairly soon and I can make the trip to grab it. I live about 20 minutes away from Syracuse these days, so it'll be about an hour of travel, which is totally fine. I'd obviously rather have it today than tomorrow...every moment in someone else's hands is a chance for damage or theft.

I did decide to use my time productively though and just pulled out and did a full setup on a bass I hadn't played in about 20 years that desperately needed some loving, so there's that at least.

It is pretty frustrating getting anything shipped, seems like everything is taking twice the time right now. The online tracking tools that most carriers have are not functioning well, recently I bought some headless parts and they were showing as being in France but delivering to me (WestCoast Canada) that same day.

(I did get them that day too btw)

The tracking for this one hasn't had an estimated day yet. It only ever says 'pending.'

Yeah I have some Nordy pick ups en route taken a week and half to get from Chicago to Mississauga and now no idea when they will make it to Vancouver.

I have a new Iron Ether Dubterranea that's in the hands of the USPS...could show up anytime between tomorrow and the 23rd of never.

I'm currently playing the bass. I just did a set up on. At its lowest and flatest, it'll never be a Dingwall. ;) Better than it was though and it's the first time I've messed with 19mm spacing since 2005...Also realizing that after playing 5 strings since then too, I much prefer 5 to 4 and it just feels weird and limiting to me while I'm runnings scales and such.

On more that one occasion I was not able to switch to "hold for pick up" with FedEx due to some restriction imposed by the sender.

Well...if they won't even try to deliver it to my home address (the one that's also listed/registered with FedEx with my login & personal info) and the one that's listed on the Customs paperwork and is the shipping address listed by the sender, and they won't let me pick it up...That means what exactly? They just keep it?
