I can't because the route on the 2015 models won't let you add a third pickup, the guy says he can do a holoflash pickguard as well but I'm not sure if I'm with that idea. I'm gonna marinate with the idea but I think a simple matte black might contrast the best due to it absorbing light.

I have a 2015 NG that I converted to 3X. Pretty easy job if you are comfortable with power tools. If you tape off the holo finish to prevent chipping you can finish the route in gloss black and pull it off.
Here's the old thread where I did mine:
Dingwall NG2 to NG3 conversion
I don't know what you call that finish but it looks incredible. Nice choice! Is it aftermarket or factory?
Rex burst!Aftermarket, it's called holoflash. This one has a black undercoat so it's called black fusion holoflash. it also has a black burst fade.

Are you going combustion spacing or NG spacing? If the former I think you could totally get away with a clear guard as you'd just see the black between the two pickups. NG spacing you'll see that writing of course.
Question for dingwall fretless folks. On a factory dingwall Canadian fretless, are the side dots identically placed to the ones on a fretted bass?
