Dingwall Owners Club

I got the correct screws from Home Depot and it sounds great. I still need to fine tune the pickup height, but even after just eyeballing it I'm happy with the sound.

I wired the P tone straight to the ring part of the output jack. The existing pickups go to the tip.
Right. I remember you mentioning changing the jack. How exactly do you utilize that set up?

So, no tone or volume control on the bass for the P tone? Just wide open Ptone out to the one side of your signal chain?

You’ll do all the controls at a pedal board or the mixer?
Correct, the P-Tone goes straight to the jack...no pots of any kind in the way. In general, I find myself preferring to tweak things on the pedalboard rather than on the bass.

NG3 5 String in Church. I played this song tonight. Sounded guy texted me later to say the tone had never been better. He said he relaxed the compression a little more than normal. He did admit the bass was a little too loud for the live broadcast but...

Nice job! For some reason our live broadcast is always really bass heavy too - much moreso than the mix in the room. I own a number of basses and agree that my Dingwall is the best in the mix at church and gets the most compliments.

Sounds great man!! As an aside the lady in the red scarf looks exactly like my ex wife...lol.

I'd go ahead with a clear pickguard and three pickups. Or two pickups and a dummy shell. That's too gorgeous to cover up!

And mirror top pickup shells while you're at it!

I can't because the route on the 2015 models won't let you add a third pickup, the guy says he can do a holoflash pickguard as well but I'm not sure if I'm with that idea. I'm gonna marinate with the idea but I think a simple matte black might contrast the best due to it absorbing light.
