Well...
I guess I’m finally, actually in the club. Better pics in the morning, when I have better light.

The cardboard box is pretty beat up, and I was sweating it as I opened it up, but that is a superb gig bag, and even it wasn’t even scuffed.
I’ve got a D-BirdEven having heard that it was light and well balanced, I was NOT prepared for how it sits and feels when strapped on.I can’t wait to lightly tweak the setup tomorrow and plug it in (probably mostly due to altitude, it seems to need a hair more relief).

I asked the shop to fill the grain on my upcoming build and they sent me this as a sample. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re looking for, but i guess it could work on an indigo-burst finish. Mine is natural to black burstDoes anyone know.... Is Indigo burst on swamp ash pre-dyed black, or is the grain just dark due to blue being a darker color? I have asked for pre-dye black treatment on my Super P build, so I’m curious... Regardless, I’m sure it should be similar. Anything to make the grain “pop” more was the goal.
First two pictures and I thought you were crazy. Oh my. That's not just a top.Really interesting custom Prima Artist just got listed on Reverb today: Dingwall Prima 5 | Horder | Reverb Thoughts?
Thanks for the pic Iv@n! I’m guessing that it is blacked out even on Indigo burst. Even when I see pics of the back sides of indigo burst combustion’s, the grain is pretty dark. Here’s hoping we both get some killer swamp ash grain on our upcoming Super P builds.I asked the shop to fill the grain on my upcoming build and they sent me this as a sample. Thanks!
I still have one of Sheldon's (not Dingwall) SNC three band preamps that are copies of the 9v HAZ. I wonder if Mo can adapt one into a D-Roc. Hmmmm...

Exciting stuff!! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.My incoming Super P is indigo burst with an ash body, I didn't ask for any no special grain enhancement so that one will give you a good idea what it looks like as is.
Last I heard it was due 'mid Jan' so I should have some pics soon!!!
As would I! Very different internals to what we're used to hearing with these instruments.Yeah man, just caught on to this one.
Very unique. It looks quite “vintage” but says 2019. Assuming built by the employee who is selling it.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear some sound samples of this
I have a faint memory of Sheldon stating years back that he tried doing SS frets and it was a total PITA causing him to NOT work with them.Yeah man, just caught on to this one.

I remember that as well! And I think Lee Sklar had him try different size frets which he liked quite a bit.I have a faint memory of Sheldon stating years back that he tried doing SS frets and it was a total PITA causing him to NOT work with them.
