I’d think when spraying an assembly line of these bodies chancing overspray on the back isn’t worth the trouble.
I’d think if they don’t nail cavity spray on the first pass it’s not probably something to go back to

I've been watching all these cavity posts. I'm going to bet that money was the secondary concern. I think we are saying the same thing. Inefficiency is bad for the bottom line

Picked up another combustion for a ridiculous price. Serial number is 00644 so it's an older one, does anyone know what preamp would be in this one?

I would guess EMG pre. Nice transparent black finish, for sure.

That's the one, $1399. Other than needing a good cleaning it's in really good condition, seemed like a decent price. Now I've got one that I'm more comfortable bringing to the dive bars in town haha.

I think the old school combustion’s are absolutely badass ... it took me three owners to finally get one I spotted on the used market and it has so much charecter

My first Dingwall was a Vintage White Combustion, 1st gen and I think it had the B booster. That was 8 or 9 years ago, was a great bass.

Got the SS strings on the Z and I have to say this is a Zingwall. Sounds AWESOME

So, I won a Frost Giant Electronics Architect of Reality pedal last night! It’s dual preamp/drive Pedal and you can mix the 2 channels- it’s based off of the Laney preamps that have AOR (advanced overdrive response, the mixing of the 2 channels). It sounds really good on bass in Mr. Excane’s demos but at worse, it will go on my skinny 6 string board.

Not with a natural wood x-top (yet... talk to me later this year). I can offer a little variety to contrast the painted burl top on your Galactus, though. How about some spalted maple?

It's an ABHS (heavy-solid) with a bubinga body. Definitely lives up to its name.

And I'd never seen the bird's eye maple detail in your headstock logo. That's pretty slick.

Turns out you can play a Dingwall through a Darkglass rig without 800 tons of gain and the universe doesn't explode!

Or you can play it with tons of gain!!!

(This guy has 5+ dingwalls by the way)

I've had a few days to get to know my NG3 amd I'm definitely loving it. Especially the neck. It reminds me of the 90s MIJ jackson I use.to play. Plenty of punch using the bridge/middle pickup. Love the preamp. Currently in active mode, slight cut on tje bass, low mids centered, slight boost of the high mids. Amd those banjo frets have really helped my tapping.

Definitely want to pick up a NG2 6 string in the future.

I'll be taking the bass in to tne studio in the next few weeks.

Alright, got my second Dingwall on the way. I already have a 5 string that I plan to keep in standard tuning. The new 4 string is going to be tuned to Drop C. Anyone keep their Dingwall in Drop C and have any string recommendations?
