We'll my local Dingwall retailer has the D-roc Standard 5's ( including my order ) listed as "en-route".
The excitement grows.
Hopefully soon I'll be able to experience my 1st Dingwall.

Not a dingwall so I hope this is ok to post but I knew a guy who had carpal tunel and got one of these basses. Said it helped a lot because of the ergonomic neck TWIST! It’s a pretty crazy design but they don’t come up very often so for anyone that wants to walk on the wild side!

I, too, have always wanted to try one. Though it doesn't give you the full effect, I came very close to ordering a neck for a Dingwall.

I've been fascinated by Little Guitar Works and the Torzal Twist design for years. They're probably the only other company I'd ever consider ordering a custom bass from at this point.

I was hoping to try one but the local person had already shipped to to where he was going to retire. Saying that my play style (kinda same as Robert Deleo) holding the bass semi upright and against my right leg it almost does the same thing as the twist on the bridge at least and doesn’t change the wrist angle

I like the metallic candy tangerine better, but I would rock that. I don't usually like blocks either.

Do all Honeybursts have more red near the edges or is it a deep orange?

I would assume they still do multiscale, but given the shift over to a basic e-commerce website probably makes it clunky to have every possible option listed.

They seem to have a different pickup from the typical FDV, Super Fatty, or FD3 based on the description.

I'm surprised they didn't fit some matching wood onto the gigbag somewhere.

They're PF-A5 pickups, exclusive to the Prima Artist line. I keep meaning to pull the pickups on my Prima to see what it has, and if not those, inquiry if Dingwall would be willing to put new pickups in the wood shells if I send them the shells. The other PA's I've played with those have been fantastic, and I'm somewhat confident mine has those, but, want to be sure

Speaking of gigbags, are the Canadian basses shipped with a different gigbag than the imports? The ones I’ve seen in pics of Canadian Dingwalls look to be an upgrade. Which makes sense, of course.

Is there a secret to the inlays that tells you where the fret markers would usually be or do you have to treat it like a fretless with no markers?

Side dots? I don't know many players that navigate the fretboard by relying on the face dots. If that's the case, I don't think they're out there spending 10,000GBP on a bass guitar.

I haven't looked at the neck for positioning in a long time, especially the front facing part of it. Still has the usual dots along the edge if you need 'em though. The inlay on the fretboard looks stunning in person

Yeah, I tend to regard the face dots/inlays, etc as something aesthetic, not for me to be using as I play.

I believe the PA pick ups are wound differently then the rest of the line of pups.

Duh. I even played fretless today and only have side dots.

Yes, except the D-Roc which comes with the same bag for both custom and imports. Bit of a bummer but the bag is fine.
