We really didn't discuss that yet, I would have to assume it's along the same time frame everyone else has mentioned. A year+ maybe? I really don't know. We've been doing the "do it", "I'm almost ready", "just do it" back and forth for the last week. I finally just said YES. I should have more details in the next few days.





Unfortunately it's that darn Warwick bias again. I'd love to try a DW with either wenge or ovangkol. I'm sure it would change my mind!

My first and second DW both had walnut necks. If you closed your eyes you wouldn’t have thought Warwick, or any other brand other then Dingwall. Thin, fast, straight, comfortable.
Same honesty applies for the wenge. I bet ya same totally
Applies to ovangkol.

Reality, the maple necks are amazeballs also so….

Need an opinion on a gig bag problem.

Here is my predicament ...I might be shipping my gear back to my home country and I purchased two Enki cases for my DW's (so room for 4 DW's). So I have 4 gig bags now I need to do decide what to do with.

I'm considering keeping one of each (d-roc/bird style and Super/combustion) and getting rid of the other two.
But not sure these will be easy to get rid of, especially the d-roc/bird style!!

Obviously an empty gig bag even in a box is more "baggage" so to say to ship lol.

Worth trying to sell them?

I think so. Both are great cases and should sell id think. There are lots of caseless dingwalls out there looking for a case.

I'd be interested in the Bird/Roc bag. My D Bird Custom came with a hard case.

Actually the two d-roc/bird ones are DW bags but the one for my combustion is a yahama bag I just remembered so if the combustion fits the super bag I'll keep it.

I’d be super curious about a Ovangkol/PF combo for neck woods.
Any chances @Sheldon D. could give us a description of his discoveries with the Ovangkol necks?

I like the look and feel of Ovangkol. I didn't notice anything surprisingly different good or bad about the tone. It's a very safe option if you're looking for an alternative neck wood.

Man oh man…I never truly realized the re-engineering involved in the Super Series until the Super J showed up today…this is just a fantastic bass! I love the upper fret access. It feels so good against the body. I was afraid it would be sterile compared to the Z3 but hell no - this thing has Much Flava! I probably never would have left the Dingwall fold for a few years if I had grabbed one of these (like I almost did). Wow, this bass plays nicely!

The white has a lot of yellow in it, I love the way it looks!

Mmmm. and modular... (drools). You have a space there that looks like it should fit a Mordax DATA.

Hello there,

Is there an updated Wiring Scheme for the 3x Switch?
I moved to another City and had my Bumblebee in my Gigbag for 2 months. Plugged it in and got serious background buzzing.
I googled the Scheme and noticed that the first wire should be white, not red as my bass is wired. So I changed the red and white wire and now my whole Electronic seems to be mixed up (neck and Bridge Position changed, Jazz Mode ULTRA thin)

Yes, it feels a lot like walnut to the touch. Walnut is lighter in weight so the feel of the bass as a whole when moving around is different. The lightness of walnut also shows up in the tone to my ears. There's a dry, airy quality that I don't hear in other woods. Ovangkol is good though.

I'm not a huge "tonewood" guy but this is one thing I've noticed consistently. Especially with walnut necks.

now, dangerously so, I’m even more curious.
I’ve only seen 2-3 in the wild and don’t imagine I’ll get lucky enough to find one on the shelf locally for a long time yet.

I believe they are basically the same.
