May I see a picture of the headstock from the front, please?

Question to the club - can someone give me a rundown of the dwall models?

I don't know much about the dingwall line up and I would like to know a bit more, thank you.

I hadn’t played this bass in far too long. I fixed that last night. It needed some setup adjustments, but it’s still a beast.

I don’t currently gig, I probably won’t be gigging for a long time, and I may not ever be plying in a band where a Bird fits the stage presence, but holy butt do I want a D-Bird. I don’t care much for the D-Roc shape at all.

I'll probably never be on a stage again, for a variety of reasons. I still like to splurge on playable art

I'm a bigger fan of the Bird and didn't initially care for the Roc. That said, the Roc has grown on me. I would like the improved fret access, but I think I can live with what I have. I have also noticed that the color of the Roc will influence how much I like the look, and certain colors seem to work with the shape, while others don't. IMHO YMMV

Likewise I struggled with the D Roc shape for a bit and I do think it works better with certain colours and also how you wear it! Its funny both the bird and the roc are big bodies but a skinny guy can pull it off in the way if its LOW. Gotta spread them legs out too!

My D Bird is currently set as BEAD. Out of curiosity I tried going down a whole step to ADGC. I think I'm going to need a different set of strings to make that work. It lost some life in the strings. Maybe I just need to play more doom.

I think we have similar tastes! And about the string count, the green and the blue I think look better in the 5 string with the new bridge.

The one with the racing stickers ...I wanted to cry when I saw it. Not to mention he got the distortion circuit too!

I've got the one in the middle. The white one looks pretty nice too.

I'm a bit fan of the Deleo stance too, if you twist just slightly its almost the same effect as a Torzal and you don't have to change wrist angles as much.

A couple of tasteful little upgrades to my D-roc Standard 5 string.
A set of Canadian spec knobs and a set of Hipshot USA tuners ( the licenced Hipshot's were fine but these feel lovely ).

It is a very nice bridge.
A great improvement on the individual saddle type.

Not without some routing I would guess. The bridge is recessed into the body.

The only naming variation I can think of is AB2 HS - which stood for a heavy/solid if I recollect right. So AB2s that weren’t semi-Hollow and weighed more. I believe they were all Walnut bodies but I could be mistaken on that piece.

At one point, I remember an AB1 with a preamp being called an AB1.5 but not sure if that was just some seller description.

The original 4-string Afterburners were called AB4s. Not sure if they still do but I had a 2009~ AB4 model (from when very few 4 strings were made).

That's exactly what I was wondering, the bridge goes inside the body?

Hope Sheldon could give me an answer to this, and if a Canadian bridge could be bought individually and mounted on the Combustion.

I initially preferred the shape of the D-bird ( being a long-term Thunderbird user ), but now prefer the D-roc shape.
The 5 string Standard has revolutionised my playing.
I do however agree that I'd love to see the matching coloured section around the headstock ( like the D-bird had ).
