If only it didn’t have a maple fretboard

I don't know what voodoo Sheldon & Co use to finish them, but the maple board on my ABZ is wearing like iron.

I used not to be hot on the way maple boards look, but this one converted me...

Imho it is all about the body colour. Some look best with maple. Some pair well with a darker wood. Like the new ng looks great with celestial blue. Black and maple i think is to stark a contrast. But it also depends on what is done with inlays.

As long as it doesn't have a dark fretboard and a light unpainted headstock it'll look good

I find lighter colors pull off the maple fretboard better but its all personal preference.
