It annoys me at times not even gonna lie. I would love to be one of those guys who has his lifer bass but that’s just never been me. Probably engrained in me from growing up poor as hell and having to hustle and buy sell trade my way into better stuff.
I know the struggle... hoping I can end my GAS with my MTD and a Droc Custom
Been there done that for sure.
Problem is there is a turning point(watch for it) where some become too hard to sell, and then you have moar…
I force myself to look away for a while sometimes and even liquidate… the problem comes after liquidation.
I’m gonna be posting 2 fivers soon as I don’t even know what allowed me to acquire this many when I need the six for my bands requirements.
Soon to have 4 basses total for sale. Definitely seems silly chasing GAS as times
Home base for me has always been Warwick, I’ve had my ups and downs with their basses over the years but I think they’re just imprinted on me as that’s what I spent my teen years obsessing over (pnut, dirk lance, mudvayne, fishbone etc)
I really love the dingwall stuff and am in a “I only like 6s” mood right now so that’s where I have to go with it lol

Similar here but I’ve got some 5s that are too dang irreplaceable like my supers which I consider retirement basses when my left should finally goes… meh. At least that’s the justification I have at this time to hoard
I used to play the same bass, for years, and not even wonder if I was missing out on anything by not trying other basses out. Then I found TalkBass 
I don’t regret the decade of GAS/trying out amazing basses. I am just tired of the grind - obsessing & finding the next “Keeper”, selling the last one that was supposed to be a keeper. Shipping. Now taxes are involved.
I used to love the whole process but it has gotten crappier every year, the past few years.
I can’t make any promises about forever but I am really damn happy with my Dingwall basses and my other one.

Yep, just listed a bass on the vrb and priced it stupid high. Obviously I'll take offers but shipping, fees, and a 1099 at the end of the year makes turning a profit near impossible. Hopefully Craigslist has a resurgence we have paypal and various payment methods to protect the buyer now.

Glad I waited so long to go to Japan only because as amazing as it is GAS over there would have been too much for gear...and its pretty damn expensive compared to elsewhere.
I'm trying to tell myself "you have all the gear you need know till you are underground....enjoy it and don't spend so much time chasing more gear!"
My ABI is through customs and on its way to Seattle. Looking to have a NBD next week. Gig tonight. Was kind of hoping that it would be here in time for it but alas, no. Oh well.

Dingwall bass was in attendance with Duran Duran at the Queen’s platinum jubilee party. They sounded good!
DAS is in full force, but I’m holding off on another deposit until I finish paying for, and receive, my Z3 6.
But I have the next one completely specced out, and it will haunt my dreams until I do order it.

This same video was posted on this thread before. I hate to tell you but that video is misleading. Look at what the bridge is attached to - the biggest bodied guitar you'll ever see. And he's not fretting notes so all there is the nut, strings, pickup and a piece of wood and all are matched other than the type of wood so of course they sound similar. Sorry for the rant but I'm sceptical. But if this video cures gas then that's good.
That video didn’t help me at all as I know it only has certain credibility and relevance to bass but 100% I agree that chasing gear has cost me quality time on the instrument!
