Hey all,
Gettin’ weary of hauling around 2-bass bags everywhere.
So, I’m looking for a decent double-bass padded bag that won’t break the pocket book (might bend it a bit).
It needs to fit any two of the following three Dingwalls and perhaps the occasional Rickenbacker 4001.
- ABZ5
- D-Bird 4
- Super J5
What say you?

I really like the mono bags. They're going to be on the pricier side.
I have an Access Stage 3 double gig bag that is nice, but I don't see them on their website anymore. They're not entry level, but they are cheaper than Mono's.
It appears that the Classic Dual Bass Guitar Case, Black — M80-2B-BLK (Mono) would handle the length of the ABZ5 as well as the width of the Super J5 & D-Bird. Cool!
Yeah a bit pricey but it looks like the case would last a very long time.

go with an Enki case I bought two for my 4 DWs in Canada.... doubles as a stand too.the Wheels rule!!
Wowsers! Higher price point, but that's a nice case! Although I'd be scratching my head as to where to stash it at tiny dive bars.
Noticed that someone commented that it doesn't fit a Thunderbird. So that's a no-go for my D-Bird.

What's his favorite bass that's ever come out of the shop?
I have the Mono M80 and it’s not too bad. It is quite heavy with 2 basses and I don’t know how long it would last under regular abuse. I’ve been gentle and don’t use it very regular so I hope it’ll last a long time. It seems to offer pretty good protection.
Enki is most likely my next case purchase.

Did a thing yesterday... gutted my AB2 and swapped guts with the new Sherwood Green NG3. There's something about the way this NG3 feels in my hands. Different from my others.. I can't explain it. 
The AB2 now has the FD3N and the DGTC operating at 9V (no way to fit two batteries in this cavity with the s/p switches). The NG3 has the SF2's and Nordy 2B preamp. This is the first time I've used the 2B at 18V, the SF2's sound HUGE in M+B series. Nice and thick, I get my passive tone with the 2B as well. Threw on a set of the new Payson flats and it just THUMPS. Tonight is the live debut for the new-guts NG3, she's all dolled up and ready to groove.
That said, the AB2 sounds much more open now with the FD3N rather than the FD3 or SF2. The FD3 and SF2 really emphasized the low-mid focus of the walnut/wenge. The FD3 gave the bass an angry feel, the SF2 was less of that (thick and clean too) - but still really focused on that low-mid thing. The broad tone of the FD3N's feel like a perfect match for this AB2, the DGTC at 9V sounds great too. The bass has a more "neutral" tone now IMO.. less low-mid poke, very pleasant! Wasn't sure what to expect, happy with the results.
Can't wait to rip the new-gut NG3 tonight.. I forsee tail shakin and plenty of it
