Walnut body for sure. But def looks like redwood. Redwood and walnut both have such a nice earthy beauty to them

That’s a beauty, lovely top! The one I just bought has the 2 band glockenklang, looks like yours has the three band? Also what are the settings in rotary switch for 2 pickup ABiis if you don’t mind me asking?

The nice people at Roland/Boss Australia asked me to run their Katana Bass amps through the ringer, the ABI was an obvious choice!

That’s a great tone man! Not over taken by overdrive but enough dirt to be brutal, and letting the lows and mids do the rest of the talking! And of course; great playing too!

haha, judging from the Bongo in your PFP and your stance while playing, imma take a wild guess that you're a big Myung fan? I got a JM vibe from your tone, of course with a Dingwall twist to it. Again, it sounds great. One of the better Dingwall metal tones I've heard, as just like you I'm not too much a fan of that over zingy drive tone that sounds like bullets ricocheting off a wall, it's a great tone but not my preference. But the tone you played with had that definitely driven tone but still with enough definition from natural tone of the bass, Great job!

I agree - drive & texture that tie the mids and high end in with the guitars for a very unified sound, but with a solid low end that gives the whole mix good "weight"

I am kind of intrigued by the Combustion/NGx 6-string because it's one of the few that use an 18mm string spacing, but I have to ask-- what are those things like to play? That neck looks massive!

Man am i loving six. Swapping back to 4’s and 5’s feels so tiny.

I have both an NG and Combustion 6. Both are beautiful instruments. The neck is thinner (front to back) than you would expect so it’s quite comfortable to play.

My Spectre Forte neck is WAAAAY Larger. Lol. Even my bongo neck feels chunkier.
Had a Yammy JP2 and that was like a full Ebony runway. Jumbo hers could land on it. My Roscoe also had a massive neck in comparison.
