I think everyone has a different threshold for what they consider a good B string. And they could've used some fresh strings. They did sound good, I can certainly see why people love them and pay so much for them because they are incredibly well made, but they didn't tickle my fancy.Interesting that the Sadowsky and Alembic at CME didn't have good B strings. I have one of each at 34" scale and the B's are fabulous. Maybe it's a set up issue.
Are there any shops that are spec'ing Canadian Dingwalls for retail? My guess is probably no. I think most buyers in the market for a new Canadian model will want to spec it out to their desires. I know I did. Used Canadians would be the only Dingwalls I would expect to see in a retail shop.
