Wow both are cool but in the end I think I would struggle to choose a fav. I think the 5er would be it. I don't need a 6. What a pair of Dwalls. They're both great.
I know what you mean, the only bass I miss here and there is the DROC...for me it’s a clear winner. I honestly really struggled to bond with the zebra. I wanted it so bad when I first saw it at NAMM 2018 IIRC then fortune sent it my way and I’ve never really missed it. That said, I’ve never bonded with a bass more then I have with my main squeeze.
Looks and string count aside, some basses have it and some don’t for the player at hand.
Sell your Z3 for more than you bought it and buy the one in the classifieds so the guy can pay for the funeral? Seems like a win-winGot this email from JFB yesterday. I was tempted to give a silly price, but my luck it would've been some impatient fella with disposable income.
YOHB?

I don't have a wiring diagram handy, but honestly, you may want to find a new tech if they can't figure it outHi Guys, hoping one of you can help me and my tech!
I have an NG2 which i am converting to and NG3, and also dumping the Darkglass EQ and replacing it with an EMG BQS with the variable mid control.
so i bought the new selector switch to go with the new pick up, but all we are getting it static! can anybody assist with the wiring diagram for this configuration.
we wondered if the active/passive toggle is not compatible with EMG but this seems unlikely?
thanks for any thoughts - and perhaps someone has done a similar mod?
initially i was going to get the EMG B30 eq which is the one they fit into combustion.
thanks, Mike

I'd try just plugging one pickup directly to the new preamp to make sure it's working fine. The selector and active/passive switch are pretty simple, so I'd suspect a preamp issue firstHi Guys, hoping one of you can help me and my tech!

Come on, have some compassion. Guy needs to pay for a funeral. Morally speaking, buying it is the right thing to do.

The picture of your bass with the two cats....reminds me of the meme seen a lot on Facebook. It shows the lead singer with 3 women, the guitarists with 2 women, the drummer with one woman, and the lowly bass player with 2 catsBut of course.

I know what I’d do if I received that bass from youChatted via email with the folks over at Dingwall and got the price/timeline to replace the neck on the greenburst AB1 6er with a Wenge one. The price is fine (right about what I mentally expected), just that three year wait is giving me a bit of pause overall. Definitely going to give it a lot of thought here in the next few days. I play that bass a good bit, but, it IS my #3 (probably #4 once the next Z gets built)... decisions decisions...
I'd just do it, whether or not the bass stays with you after you get your next Z. If you keep it, then you can keep the maple neck as a backup or possibly sell it, have it defretted, etc. And if you sell the bass, you have a unique feature in the bass coming with two necks. There are some tonewood nerds out there that would probably be all too excited to A/B test the two different necks out.Chatted via email with the folks over at Dingwall and got the price/timeline to replace the neck on the greenburst AB1 6er with a Wenge one.
