We once had a cat who would come into my practice room, jump up and lay down on my combo amp whenever I practiced.
I had a deaf cat that would get inside of our drummers kick drum during practice because he didn't have a front skin on it and kept a nice comfy pillow in there. She was weird.
So like how much for the ABZ + kitten?? They seem like a pair and I'd hate to break them up.
After the conversion from Cyprus-bucks that might not be a bad deal!
I actually spent 15-20 minutes perusing the local shelters' websites before TB yesterday since my girlfriend has been talking about getting another cat so this was on my mind.
Her boy is getting older and could use a buddy. He definitely needs more exercise too. Her friend just lost 2 cats to a snake (damn Florida!) so she's freaked out. And I'm in the perpetual doghouse so it seems like a fine time for a kitten!
He also enjoys a good gigbag. I keep the Dingwalls tucked away as he'll just crush and warp them but lately his thing is trying to squeeze onto the pedalboard bag.

How do you like your Underground Accelerator? Mine is on my gig pedalboard. If I'd found SushiBox pedals years ago, I'd have never sold most of the basses I sold, or bought most of the basses I bought. Sigh.....
I have an incoming 5-string NG3 and would like to replace the smoked chrome monorail bridges with a one-piece black bridge. I contacted Dingwall about replacing the monorail bridges and found out their minimalist one-piece bridge is recessed, which would require the bass to be sent to an authorized dealer to route a mounting pocket in the body to accept the new bridge. I'm not going through the expense and risk of surgery on a brand new instrument so I thought the Payson fanned fret bridge might be a good option. I'd like to be sure this new bridge could use the existing mounting holes, cover any trace of the previous monorail bridges, and allowed proper setup and intonation. This photo seems to answer the first two questions. Are you satisfied with the way this bridge has performed for you?I finally got around to putting on the Payson bridge I bought on Black Friday - along with the rest of my black replacement hardware. My main motivation was the smoked chrome saddles were rotting my forearm (nickel allergy). Time will tell regarding my forearm but the bridge was easy to install and setup

They Payson bridge leaves the ground hole visible just in front of the G saddle (picture is old but the same issue is present on the current version of bass and bridge)

The D-bird I just got has one. All holes are covered and everything works great.
The D-roc needs routing too I believe but the 5s ship with the new single piece bridge right now. Not seen a 4 but I expect they will too soon if not already, dealers will know
Besides the exposed hole at the G (or my case the C), be aware that the saddle sits at a slight angle. This causes a slight horizontal break angle for the strings at the saddle. The effect is that you cannot take advantage of the advertised adjustable string spacing, and it may or may not bother you somewhat aesthetically.
Bummer, might just need to live with the original bridges. I think they want to use up existing factory stock before switching over. No telling how long that is going to be...
LOL, totally....I've been doing a lot of experimenting lately and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I've got a More on there too which seems to pair nicely with everything.

It’s funny how the whole enchilada comes together: bass, strings, electronics, amp + cab vs modeling, fx/processing, etc.
I have been a tube amp fan and have enjoyed Ampeg, Mesa Boogie, Orange and more on bass. My prior batch of Dingwalls, whom I loved but ultimately felt they were too sterile with a lot of amps sounded amazing with my Orange AD200b. It was from 5-7 years ago when I was Dingwall + Orange.
I had an Ampeg PF50t until ~6 months ago. I loved my Dingwalls with it. Note: I would not characterize my Z3x 5 with DGTC pre or my Super J(P) with ACG/East EQ01 (filter pre) as sterile.
Awhile back, I was thinking “I loved having an AD200B with my Dingwalls, I think I will grab one despite it being a bit overkill for me currently”. I haven’t wanted to admit it but I have been fighting this amp half the time that I use it. The Ampeg could handle dirt well but it had a great cleaner tone too. I might be going back to that smaller head.

If it’s any consolation, I’m MUCH happier with this than the OEM smoked chrome saddles. That new Payson upgrade seems pretty cool too. Would still prefer the Minimalist though when it comes out if the upgrade is reasonably priced.

The low string break angle doesn’t seem as much on the 5-string bridge. I’m good with the stock 18mm spacing and the rubber grommet could fill the exposed ground hole. I like the looks of it. Might even be able to find paint for the grommet which is a close enough match of the body color (mine is celestial blue).

This is an old thread, but maybe helpful for anyone with this era NG2 if they wish to convert to 3X and do the Payson bridge upgrade. I wish I had considered the grommet solution beforehand!

I'm doing UA and Finally on gig board, Slampegg and More at home. Better tone than I ever got from a Mesa 400+ and 2 410s. I loved my SJ5XXX for Country, not at all for Hard Rock. Now, post SushiBox, it would totally work.
