I bought it new but got 200km to go to the shop so I prefer talking directly with the brand and as a lefty, there's no spare if i go for a return.
Furthermore, these details doesn't deserve a return.

It's new one but old stock.
Not a lot of lefty go in shop here as most of time there is no stock for us...

I feel like the bass sounds so great with everything flat. The preamp is for small adjustments based on the room you’re playing in, but it’s quite effective and sounds wonderful.

Still waiting on a couple parts, including the 6-way, but that waiting has kept me comfortable with avoiding the part of these mods that has made me most nervous. Well, I finally got past that, and am pressed with how the holes have turned out. I still have to slightly enlarge the volume pot hole, to accommodate the push/pull volume pot, but that’s a lot less stressful than drilling two brand new holes was.

Excellent. Is the tone a proper roll off like a jazz bass? Some tone knobs roll off in the last 10% of rotation.

I had asked EMG about this and they didn’t seem to think it could be done. I was still strongly considering it… now maybe more so.

I do have DCxS in my square shell ABZ. it’s a Spector killer.

I made a simple template, held in place by a switch through the active/passive switch hole, and used a very very thin bit to just mark the spots for the other two holes. After that, I put some painters tape over the top side wings of the bass, and set it on two small sections of 2x4 to hold it up evenly and to provide a support for the paint and surrounding wood, when I got through. From there, I used a 1/2” countersink in an oversized pin vice/hand drill to cut a hole in the paint layer, so that the drill bit I used to finish up (1/4”) wouldn’t lift and chip the paint around the hole.

I’m using the same countersink to scrape away a hole in the surface paint for the volume pot, since that needs to be slightly larger for the pot/push-pull switch.

Tomorrow morning, I’m finishing my schematic, and I’ll start wiring up the DPDT switches for the series/parallel controls.

Maybe, for fun, I’ll sit down and try to categorize all of the 6-way/series-parallel permutations. If I’m mathing right, there should be 24 total. Which is kind of nuts, and I know I’ll definitely have favorites and combinations that I just don’t have a use for.

It’s got quite a bit of variety in the roll off. I like an always on passive tone like on my F Bass.
