Dingwall Owners Club

This week I played a theater gig with my band, along with the city orchestra.
It quite the experience and my SJ delivered as always :bassist:

@IvanBassist, just curious, do you have a preference between the SJ or PJ?
I always go back & forth. Some things are easier to play on the SP, others are easier on the SJ.

But I feel more “at home” with the Super P. Probably because I’ve had it for 4 years already

Don’t you have a 5 string Super on order? Do you expect that to be your main bass?
Yes. I have a 5 string SJ on order. I don't really have an expectation for that bass. The main reason why I ordered it, is because I don't own any 5 strings. I'm curious to see if I like it better than my 4s :D

Hello, Club! Haven't been here for ages. A question to you guys who own D-Roc 4 string basses: have you strung them BEAD and what are your thoughts about the tone and comfort to play? Long story short - I already own ABZ5 and it's my #1 bass and it doesn't go anywhere but I'm thinking of getting D-Roc-4 to string it BEAD so I'd have kinda hot-rod all passive low end workhorse? Any ideas?

As far as I remember, that’s how Rob of Epica tuned his D-Birds and D-Rocs before getting his signature 5 string model

Hey y’all. Any clue where we are with custom build serial #s? My slot is in the 7600s so it’s probably going to be awhile.
Mine just went into final production, #7079. I think it was supposed to start production after NAMM, but Jason and I just finalized everything last week. We both have been really busy, the delay wasn't on Dingwall's end.

Anyone in the UK/Europe who ordered/preordered an SP1? Was dead set on the Metallic Black til I saw the Ducatti White so I went for that :D Loving the red pickguard, I know it's not a tort of some sort, but really interesting design.

Pretty sure they're not done sequentially, and even then there's likely a lot of batch work done at the part level, so it's probably impossible for anyone who isn't an employee to guess based purely on serial number.

So I walked into a Musicstore which had a Dingwall Sale.
I have never had a "normal" Combustion in my hands.
I owned a few NGs, an D-Roc and tested a few of the new 2025 models some days earlier in a different store, and even the JT5.

But this Combustion had something. I don´t know what, but it had something. So I had to take it home.
Have to wait for new strings, as the current ones are pretty dead.
