Eh, I play my Prima Artist the most, even out at shows/gigs. Granted it's not the new $20k ones, but, it was well into the 5 digits. It's a tool - an absolute great one - and I bought it to play it, not to hide it away in a case or display. If I could I would totally get another, but, I gotta stick with Zs 
NBD! I came across this reasonably priced secondhand AB1 recently that I simply couldn't let pass. Yes it's passive but I used my combustion 90% passive anyway. I would not ever have picked this color myself, buts been growing on me the past few weeks. The neck illusions 'inlays' are my addition, to go with the GT stripe stickers on the body.
Still waiting for Dingwall's info on the spec sheet. I have no idea, other than the neck is maple and the fretboard looks wenge to me.
One question for the Dingwall experts here, was that GT stripe on the body a factory thing or did some previous owner add it?
Never seen a Dingwall with these stripes before, but given Sheldon's love for racecar inspired designs, who knows.
I'm wondering if I'd remove the stickers, would the paint underneath be discoloured.
The bass plays and sounds amaaaaaazing of course.

My SP1 shipped today!! My first dingwall and my first five string, I'm pumped.
My jealousy is through the roof at people getting their SP1's. But at the same time wishing for everyone to enjoy them! I have a feeling they won't be in Europe for another couple of months yet.
White w/ tortie but I'm starting to wish I had gone with the vintage burst! I'm probably gonna see about getting a more tortie-ish pickguard made and I think that'll remove that regret haha
I’m trying to spec out an Afterburner Build, pickups and preamp are easy to pick. Color is impossible. I'm paralized by choices. Any advice on how to make the decision easier?
Well if it's any consolation it's looking like the white shipped first.
I've got a vintage burst on order with Jason at Fretnation and I'm still desperately waiting to get the word that its in.
Bass Central, preordered back in February so was happy to find out I still made the first batch!
There is no wrong choice. Pick the color of you a car or motorcycle that you've loved.
What color would you call Bondo?
I think I have a vague memory of seeing that one in the past.
I think those stripes were an addition by the previous owner.
Being an AB1 I think you’d have an alder body and those pick ups should be FD3s. They were the only option at the time of that large writing.
Probably a 2015-17 build.
Good chance the paint could be discoloured…. Tough to say.
FWIW the stripes look good with your NI inlays.

Let's go with gunmetal gray. Heh. Actually, I have a gunmetal gray ABI and it looks great, but doesn't stand out like my Ferrari Red ABZ does.
