The SP1'S are starting to show up on Reverb as "in stock"
I've been on a bass buying bender over the last month and a half, but I'm REALLY tempted.
Not crazy about any of the colors though IMO. The white is the one I like most.

I’m hoping that at some point we’ll be able to buy the pick guards. And previously there was a tort pick guard shown on the white one. Not sure why they changed it to whatever it’s supposed to be now.

Dingwall sent me the build info, you had everything right, except that its from 2013.
I think I'll keep the stickers for now.
My understanding is that the green ones arent coming with the first batch. They will be coming later

I was checking out a beautiful 2007 ABII yesterday. Can someone please explain how this electronics setup works?

I'm not really familiar with old Dingwalls, but the only thing that would make sense to me would be, that it is volume (the single one), a kill switch per pickup and a 3 band eq (the three knobs).
That would make sense, but it is definitely not that.
The single knob is volume.
The left-most (from the viewpoint of this pic) of the 3 knobs together is a rotary dial. I’m not sure if it is selecting pickups or doing something else.
Not sure what the other knobs do. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like they are doing anything. Maybe they are tone knobs for each pickup and only function if the rotary selector has that pickup engaged?
The left switch is maybe series/parallel? It seems to make the bass louder and fuller.
The right switch is a kill switch. Or at least, I have not yet found any setting where it doesn’t function as a kill switch.
The bass sounds huge and very earthy. I mostly play upright these days and I was surprised at how the Dingwall creates a similar sound envelope.
It’s tough to say exactly as it may have had modifications over the years.

The volume will also be push/pull active/passive.
The pick up selector would potentially go:
Neck
B/N series
B/N parallel
Bridge.
The following 2 knobs would probably be bass and treble. Possibly an Aguilar preamp? Maybe glockenklang but I’d lean towards Aguilar.
The switches would normally be series/parallel per individual pick up.
It may be worth changing the battery to start and see if you have any different results?

Iirc, there was a limited run of those cocobolo topped basses. 12-20?

Rare find. I’ve never seen an AB with a center wood piece on the top. Looks like bubinga. I like it.
That's not a center piece of wood, it's just the pith of that particular piece of wood.
Those old AB2 often has the bluEQube in it. The switch closer to the neck turns it on/off (it's a mid shift). The switch closer to the bridge is the active/passive switch. The knobs, going from neck to bridge, should be: Volume, Rotary pickup selector, Bass (boost only IIRC), Treble (boost only IIRC).
If the Active/Passive switch was causing it to "kill", I'd suspect dead batteries first. Easy enough to test. If the bluEQube switch was acting as a kill, that's unfortunate, but also easy to test.

Well, i asked ChatGPT what kind of finish would look good with a wenge neck. I did some further prompts afterwards and it came up with this.

Thanks so much, all. My search-fu was not strong enough to find this info. So if the batteries were dead, the active/passive would act like a kill switch and the bass and treble boost would not seem to do anything. I’m going to head back to check it out again with some 9 volts.
That’s not a 3 piece top. The center is sapwood from the cocobolo top. I think it is a walnut body with a bubinga neck and wenge fingerboard. It has a limited edition certificate that says #9 of 12.
