And what are you buying while waiting for the SOL?I think you can. I ordered the JU Sol while waiting for my Effigy![]()
SP1 is definitely on the listAnd what are you buying while waiting for the SOL?
I feel so outta place here these days.
My inside voices are fighting hard. One says, “you only need 2. To make future plans align better, less is more”
The other says, “ you have everything covered now and then some extra… but such a juicy way that future GAS has been cured. Keep 5-6 to keep DAS at bay”
The future I’m chasing doesn’t have room for excess or baggage but when it’s Dingwall baggage it’s somehow justifiable. Ugh.
Sounds like a bad excuse not to get a second dingwall but maybe that's just meThe band primarily has songs in Drop C and couple of them in Drop A. This way I don't have to change instruments like the guitarist does. It's a little more brain work, but makes sense for the situation.
My NG3 is a B stock too. But besides the “B” stamp next to the serial number and if the shop owner had t have pointed out the “defect”, I NEVER would’ve found the millimeter sized indent on the fretboard. Can’t feel it and can only see it at a specific angle and if the lighting is right. Saving a few hundred bucks for the win. After two cancellations with two different retailers who couldn’t follow through with their estimated delivery date for an SP1, I finally managed to secure one through another reputable retailer here in Europe. Apparently a B stock with a minor finish issue but I’ve seen the pictures and it’s barely anything to worry about.
Should arrive in a few days, can’t wait!
Went for a White/4 string. I already have two replacement pickguards waiting (gold and matte black) as I can’t stand the red one.
So you use the x7 for your distortion sound and the ADAM just for eq, noisegate and compression? Did you switch off the distortion on the ADAM? Thanks for your helpView attachment 4752238 View attachment 4752240
I am really starting to dial in the six now. Shattering all expectations. The tone is just so massive. And the F# string (currently tuned F) is far clearer than i expected.
A darkglass microtubes X arrived in the mail today and i have placed it infront of the Adam. So i get multiband eq, noisegate, compression from the adam. It did not take long to get some fantastic tones. I need to tweak the adam again as i already found a setting in the X that is my new go to.
i have been playing the six a lot. I just picked up my ab1 5er for a moment. Ever swap from a 5 string to a jazz bass neck? The jazz feels like a toothpick. Well… the 5er just felt like a toothpick.
also got a yba300. This amp puts out!
I really like the pick guard you installed. It ties in well with that celestial blue.My NG3 is a B stock too. Be sure and post some pictures of your new SP1 when it comes in. Is this your first Dingwall?
WD Music did a great job. I simply love how now the bass looks like a blue sky with dark ominous clouds… at least that’s how I see it.I really like the pick guard you installed. It ties in well with that celestial blue.

i now use an anagram. but still like the x for the bass.So you use the x7 for your distortion sound and the ADAM just for eq, noisegate and compression? Did you switch off the distortion on the ADAM? Thanks for your help

Dingwalls won’t be getting any cheaper @AB Nate
If you love the ones you have, it’s probably worth it to hold onto them rather than going through regret and then hunting for a replacement in a few years and paying more. Especially if you are moved to Europe as there are less around, there is VAT to consider, etc.
Love the ones you’re with!
Agreed, however even now, at best, a Z3 is a grand more than I paid right as COVID hit. There is some sort of price correction occurring on the used market right now. Who knows where macroeconomics is headed but my experience is that generally, everything is getting more expensive and has been for years.Right now ... on Reverb ... IMHO they are getting cheaper on the secondary market. Much cheaper and more available, even very pretty ones from the custom shop.
