No. The ABII's became chambered about half way through their production life. Sometime around 2006 or so I think? They were originally mahogany bodied, then walnut bodied and often had bubinga tops.

For Combustion owners that want a replacement or different Pickguard, or NG-2 owners that want a different look or pickup placement, the fine folks at Dingwall have made some readily available at their web store:

My initial intent was to get a white pearl one for my yellow NG2 for a tamer look and to try the std pickup placement. But with that sold and the chrome blue V2 Combustion in transit my current aesthetic needs may be met. That said, if this color guard gets added I may have to reconsider?...

No worries at all, I go over every new bass that comes to me and have plenty of good experience doing this sort of thing.

A question about the luminlays, how beneficial are they? I had a full set of Sims on my long tenure 55-94, and once I learned a song, didn't really use them. Now I am doing more vocals/harmonies and find side dots helpful during the learning process.

My short-time SP5 had blocks and they seemed helpful as well. Now I'm wondering if I should go with blocks on my SJ5XXX instead of Luminlays.

Opinions solicited.

Why not go Lumilay blocks and side dots, blue.

My 55-94 had full side and front Sims, I soon tired of the front lights, sadly there was no turn off option, just too flashy for me. Also, I don't have any problem seeing side dots on a maple neck\board even in low light conditions.
