Depending upon what you're doing 5-6 would be a Z.

I think I'm gonna treat myself to a Z2 or Z3 as a graduation present in 3 or 5 years.

Until then, I'm "stuck" with what I've got (AB1 5, Bongo 5, Stingray 4H fretless, I'm not complaining or anything ).

lol. i TRIED. i could NOT find a 6 string Dingwall that i liked the way it looked. i made myself look for 6 months before i pulled the trigger on a new one.

i figure if you are buying something that is going to be your baby, and for me the best bass i've ever owned, it's silly to save $300-$400 when you're going to be in the $2000 range and get something you're not completely happy with.

as silly as it sounds to some people, i'm am SUPER concerned with aesthetics.

pretty = a great bass even BETTAH.

lol.... the project i'm in right now there's no guitar player. it's me and my singer playing synth with sequenced drums and noises, sometimes a live drummer (we're checking out a new guy in a couple days), so i really need the range of a 6'er right now.

i would SO miss that extra string.

but dayum, that is nice!

Jong Lee used to be on TB, not sure if he still is, but he's the real deal. I've also purchased some things from him and it's been a great experience every single time.

I saw the Falling in Between DVD with Sklar playing his Z2, but definitely not his new signature configuration...different woods and pickups.

I am sure I was passed a link of them playing together from a youtube video but I can't find it anymore. Or rather I don't know how to search for, I tried toto sklar or any combinations, Lukather Sklar you name it. No joy
